The Charleston Racial Unity Leadership Summit

This summit kicks off on Thursday, Aug 9th at 5:30pm with a welcome from Minister Bobby L. Green, Jr, the minister of The Charleston Metro Church of Church.  The purpose of this summit will be given by the Director/Organizer, Dr. Jerry Andrew Taylor, an Associate Professor of Bible and Ministry at the Abilene Christian University in Texas. The summit will end on Saturday with the Gullah Tour.  Activities

The Gullah History will be given by a Gullah Storyteller, Jackie Mickel and A Gullah Tour of Charleston and surrounding areas.

Continental Breakfast & Box Lunches are included.

The Color of Law, Power & Religion, The Education & Miseducation of the Negro, What the School Ratings/Scores are Telling Us, The Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome, Mary McLeod Bethune’s Last Will & Testament, The 1979 Greensboro Massacre, What Should Be Our Spiritual & Collective Response to White Rage in light of the CHS Mother Emanuel 9 Massacre?

Speakers: A total of 15 Scholars and Thinkers will be traveling from all parts of the US to North Charleston for this Summit that will share insightful presentations regarding the history of race and the ongoing challenges of racial unity in the United States.

Cost: $70 per person until July 31, 2018, On-Site Registration – $75.00 each. Registration is required, with very limited seating. Gullah Tour is $25.00 in addition to Summit Registration
