Ashley River Bridge Lights Up Blue and Green This Weekend for National Donate Life Month

Looking to take a fun car ride this weekend with your family during the COVID-19 quarantine? In honor of National Donate Life Month in April, South Carolina’s organ and tissue donation organization, We Are Sharing Hope SC, will light up Charleston’s famous Ashley River Bridge every evening (Friday, April 10 – Monday, April 13) in blue and green as a tribute to all donor heroes who gave the gift of life and transplant recipients who have received a second chance at life through transplantation. Blue and green are calming, life-affirming colors that represent the balance of sky and earth and provide a visual representation for the circle of life.

National Donate Life Month is a great time to talk with your loved ones about the life-giving legacy of saying yes to organ donation. This month, we honor all of South Carolina’s donor heroes who – through their life-changing gift of organ donation – have given us a legacy of hope to remember every day.

You can share your photos of the bridge lighting by tagging us on social media: #DonateLife or #WeAreSharingHopeSC.
