GOVERNOR BARBOUR APPOINTS RUCKSTUHL TO REGISTERED PROFESSIONAL GEOLOGISTS BOARD
(JACKSON, Mississippi)-Governor Haley Barbour has appointed Kenneth Ruckstuhl, of Brandon, to the State Board of Registered Professional Geologists, which regulates and registers geologists practicing in Mississippi.
“Kenneth is highly qualified for this role, and I’m excited to welcome him on board,” Governor Barbour said. “I have great confidence that he will be an effective member and serve the citizens of Mississippi well in this capacity.”
Ruckstuhl has worked as a geologist for more than 15 years and currently serves as senior geologist at EMS. Previously, he owned Alpha Services for two years and was a senior geologist with Malcolm Pirnie, Inc. for 8 years, in addition to serving as a consultant. Ruckstuhl has volunteered with Rankin County’s Habitat for Humanity for 14 years.
A graduate of Louisiana State University, Ruckstuhl holds a bachelor’s degree in geology. He and his wife, Sandy, have been married 25 years and have two children, Rachel and Austin.
