GOVERNOR BARBOUR APPOINTS DIETRICH TO MASSAGE THERAPY BOARD

 

(JACKSON, Mississippi)-Governor Haley Barbour has appointed Sandra J. Dietrich, of Madison, to the State Board of Massage Therapy, which regulates the practice of massage therapy in Mississippi.

 

“Sandra will be an excellent addition to this important regulatory board, and I appreciate her willingness to serve the state in this capacity,” Governor Barbour said.

 

Dietrich is self-employed as a Registered Nurse, rapid eye technician, and healing science practitioner. She previously owned Training and Development, Inc., a total quality management training firm and worked at the Mississippi Department of Health as director of the maternity program. In addition, Dietrich has worked as an admissions supervisor for Blue Cross Blue Shield and a nurse-midwifery consultant. She has authored several medical articles and co-authored a licensure bill for birthing centers for the Mississippi Health Care Commission.

 

She earned a bachelor’s degree in health administration from Ottawa University in Missouri and graduated from Lawrence General School of Nursing in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Dietrich received a diploma from the Brennan School of Healing in New York and holds a master certificate from the Oregon Rapid Eye Institute.
