Governor Haley Barbour has appointed of Dottie Scruggs Gozan of Jackson and Nancy Yates of Philadelphia to the Mississippi Arts Commission, which establishes program objectives, recommends budgets, assesses needs, evaluates program effectiveness and awards grants.

Governor Haley Barbour has announced the appointment of Howell Gage of Vicksburg and Serena Clark of Madison to the Mississippi EdNet Institute. The Mississippi EdNet Institute oversees the development of instructional television service throughout the state.

GOVERNOR BARBOUR APPOINTS VICKSBURG ATTORNEY TO CIRCUIT COURT POST
Governor Haley Barbour today announced M. James Chaney Jr., of Vicksburg, will be his appointee to the Ninth Circuit Court Judge position, effective today. Chaney will serve the unexpired term of Judge Frank Vollor who retired on May 31, 2009. His term will end Jan. 3, 2011.

Governor Haley Barbour has appointed David Hudson of Kosciusko to the Mississippi Board of Pharmacy. The board protects and promotes the health of Mississippi citizens by regulating and controlling the practice of pharmacy and the distribution of prescription drugs and devices.
