Mullet Haul Trail Run
Saturday, Mar. 7, 8:30 a.m.
Mullet Hall Equestrian Center Get ready to haul your mullet through Johns Island at the 5th annual Mullet Haul! This trail run at scenic Mullet Hall Equestrian Center on Johns Island encourages runners to sport real or imitation mullet hairstyles during their participation. The race features both a 5- and 10-mile off-road run on March 7. Runners are not required to have a mullet, but a prize will be awarded for the best the race. Races begin at 8:30 a.m., and will be followed by an awards ceremony and a post-race party featuring live music and beverages. The race is open to ages 10 and older; ages 10-15 must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs and strollers are not allowed at this event. To register, visit www.charlestoncountyparks.com. North Charleston Wannamaker County Park
Dog owners, bring your pup for this new event in celebration of green spaces and green beverages! Dogs and their people are invited to the Wannamaker County Park dog park for live music, craft beer, and food trucks. St. Patrick’s Day attire is encouraged, especially for your four-legged friend. All dogs must remain on leash. No outside alcohol or coolers permitted. Registration not required. Fee: $5. Food and beverages are an additional fee.

Come enjoy all the play with none of the pay during Customer Appreciation Day at Charleston County Parks! On Sunday, March 15, the Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission says “thank you” by offering free gate admission to Ravenel Caw Caw Interpretive Center, North Charleston Wannamaker, Mount Pleasant Palmetto Islands and James Island County Parks. Plus, enjoy free parking at Kiawah Beachwalker Park, Folly Beach County Park and Isle of Palms County Park. Lowcountry Cajun Festival

Bringing Louisiana to the Lowcountry, Cajun Fest is a full-day of foot-stompin’ tunes, hot and spicy foods, children’s activities and all around ragin’ Cajun entertainment! Throughout the day, enjoy live music performed on stage by Roux du Bayou Cajun Band and Jeffrey Broussard & the Creole Cowboys. Don’t forget to sign up for the crawfish eating contest!
