FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE MOVES TO THE GULF COASTAND SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (Jackson, Miss.)--In an effort to reach out to constituents who do not live near the Capital, the Governor's Office is moving to the Gulf Coast and South Mississippi December 6 -9, with plans to tour six counties during the visit. Constituent Services Representatives from Governor Barbour's staff will be available to assist the public with "It is important for my staff to be available and hear the needs from citizens from all parts of the state," said Governor Barbour. "This visit is intended to be an effort to bring state government closer to the people on the Gulf Coast and in South Mississippi." The Governor's staff will visit George, Greene, Hancock, Harrison, Jackson, and Stone counties, and will be available to answer constituent questions and work on specific cases at the following locations: 3pm- 5pm Stone County Courthouse Tuesday, December 7 Wednesday, December 8 Thursday, December 9 "We talk to constituents over the telephone daily, but this is a great opportunity for us to meet face-to-face with citizens who have questions about state government," said Joey Denson, Director of Constituent Services for the Governor's Office. "We look forward to serving citizens on the Gulf Coast and in South Mississippi while we are in town."
