The Children's Museum of the Lowcountry (CML), will host internationally renowned graffiti artist, Sergio Odeith, as he paints a 3D mural inside the Museum on Tuesday, October 20 and Wednesday, October 21, 2015. Children and their grown-ups are invited to play in the Museum and watch as Odeith completes the one-of-a-kind 3D mural.

CML's mural will be Odeith's third mural in the city of Charleston. He has completed a 3D mural on the corner of Huger and Hanover Streets and at a private residence on Hester Street during previous visits to the Lowcountry. Charleston is the third U.S. city in which Odeith has created works of art, followed by Baton Rouge, LA and Lexington, KY.

Odeith, originally from Portugal and currently based in Lisbon, was recognized in 2005 for his groundbreaking incursions in the anamorphic art field, standing out for his compositions created in perspective and painted in different surfaces, such as 90º corners or from the wall to the floor, creating an optical illusion effect. He has painted large-scale murals for major national and international enterprises such as the London Shell, Kingsmill, the Coca-Cola Company, Estradas de Portugal, Samsung, Sport Lisboa e Benfica (football club) and several Portuguese city halls such as Câmara Municipal de Lisboa and Câmara Municipal de Oeiras, amongst others. "We couldn't be more thrilled to host Sergio Odeith at the Children's Museum and house his newest artwork in our lobby," said Nichole Myles, Executive Director at the Children's Museum of the Lowcountry. "Mr. Odeith is a fantastic artist and we hope his creative work will instill a sense of imagination and wonder into children of all ages who pass through our doors and see his mind-bending 3D art."
