Google Invites Lowcountry Businesses to Get Online and On the Map

Registration is now open for “Let’s Put Our Cities on the Map” in Charleston. The session is set for Thursday, August 27 from 8:30am-1pm at the Memminger Auditorium (56 Beaufain Street).
The Black Googler Network is hosting the event and the mission is simple – to help local businesses get found on the web, on maps and on mobile phones. That’s important because although 97 percent of consumers look online for local products and services. But, approximately 40 percent of small businesses in South Carolina do not have a website.

Grow your business online:
-Learn the basics of how other people find your business online, with methods like search engine optimization (SEO), web analytics, and more.
-Run your business more efficiently with online tools, including applications for improving collaboration and communication.

Get found on Google Search and Maps:
Customers will be able to find your business in Google.com search results, Google Maps, and on mobile devices with a free Google My Business listing. It's the easiest way for your business to be found online, no matter where people are looking for you.

1:1 Workshop with Googlers:

Receive 1:1 help directly from Google employees on various Google tools you can utilize to grow your business and online presence, including Google Apps, Google AdWords, and Google My Business.

Business leaders who attend the event will receive hands-on training from Google and will be able to set up a website for free for one year. Click here to register. Space is limited.
