On behalf of the Charleston Chronicle, we would like to offer our most sincere condolences for your lost with the recent tragedy that occurred on the night of June 17, 2015. We will keep you in our prayers and will do anything that we can to help the Church move forward during this tough time. Your continued support of our newspaper is greatly appreciated as the Black Press will always stand with the Black Church.
The Charleston Chronicle will publish a special edition paying tribute to the victims of the Mother Emanuel A.M.E. Church shooting. The tribute will focus on the lives of the 9 victims and the historic church itself. It will also include messages of hope from local, state and national leaders to the families, communities and residents affected by this tragedy.
We want to make sure that we honor the victims properly and that the church and family members have input on what will be published about their lost loved ones. To ensure that, we ask that members of the family including friends and church members submit information or messages that they would like included in the edition. If there are any photos available to use in the edition, it can be brought to our office at 1111 King Street or e-mailed to . The deadline for materials is Thursday July 2, 2015.
