Service Brewing Company (SBC), a veteran-owned and operated craft brewery based in Savannah, Georgia has announced they will be expanding distribution into North Carolina and South Carolina starting July 1, 2015.
Prior to this expansion, Service Brewing has been distributed throughout Georgia. The decision to expand into the Carolinas was based on demand coming from the region and also coincides with Service Brewing’s one year anniversary this July.
Former U.S. Army Company Commander, and CEO of SBC, Kevin Ryan noted, “We have generated a lot of demand for our beerin the region as well as support for our mission. With the South Carolina border only 15 minutes from Savannah it was an easy choice to
move North into the market.“
As a whole, North Carolina is currently experiencing a burgeoning Craft Beer scene that recognizes quality and commitment to Craft Beer. Both states also demonstrate tremendous support for the military and recognize the value that military members bring to their communities while in service and long after they have served.
While Ryan instills his military discipline around the beer production, Meredith Anne Sutton, SBC’s Creative Director, acts as the visionnaire for the design and overall branding of the beer and tasting room. The Savannah College of Art and Design alumni and Raleigh, NC native, is excited to have the chance to share Service Brewing with her hometown.
“I have watched excitedly as Raleigh has grown over the last decade, especially the culinary and craft beer scene. This is a great chance for us to join in on the fun! "
Service Brewing initially introduce their craft beer through special events to be held in Raleigh, NC, Charleston, SC and Beaufort County, SC, however the products will be available throughout the entirety of both states.
Dedicated to honoring those that have put their lives at risk and their country and community first, Service Brewing donates a portion of their revenue to assist charities that support military service. Through a grassroots effort, Service is giving back to those that have served by crafting authentic American made beers for both the curious and experienced consumer.
While brewing their year-round beers on a large-scale, they maintain a small-batch Research and Development division to enable experimentation and innovation using locally available ingredients. This helps maintain a connection from farmers to consumers using their beer and their mission.
