Champion Books of Summer

Join professional storyteller Tim Lowry, and learn how to craft and record family stories for future generations. Lowry will use classic folk tales and Brer Rabbit stories to demonstrate how a folk tale’s structure can be used as a model to produce family stories. The workshop includes a morning session devoted to story development from 10 a.m.-12 p.m., followed by a lunch break and then 15-minute on-site iPhone recording sessions from 1-5:30 p.m. Due to limited space, families are encouraged to sign up for a specific afternoon recording slot by June 10.
