5/27/2015 11:44:57 AM

The Moonlight Mixer series is back on the Folly Beach Pier! After a successful debut of the season on May 22, the next Moonlight Mixer is set for Friday, June 19.
All ages are invited to celebrate the arrival of summertime weather with some shagging on the Folly Beach Fishing Pier. On select Friday evenings, DJ Jim Bowers will keep your feet moving with the hottest oldies and beach music. Event hours are 7 – 11 p.m. Other upcoming Moonlight Mixer dates will be July 24, Aug. 21 and Sept. 18. Rain dates for each event are the next night (Saturday).
Tickets are $10 per person ($8 for Charleston County residents with advance ticket purchase).  Tickets are limited, so advance purchase is recommended. Online ticket purchases are available until midnight on the Thursday prior to each event. Attendees who wish to attend multiple events are encouraged to purchase the All Access Dance Card, a discounted season pass to all of the Moonlight

Mixers and/or Shaggin’ on the Cooper events on the Mount Pleasant Pier. For more information, call 843-795-4386 or visit
Shaggers of all skill levels can bring a date or meet friends, let loose, breathe in the ocean air and dance the night away.  Beverages will be available for purchase on-site. During the events, food will be for sale at Locklear’s Beach City Grill and the Gangplank Gift & Tackle Shop, located at the entrance to the pier. Food, beverages and parking fees are not included in ticket price.
Locals who love to shag dance are also encouraged to attend the Mount Pleasant Pier’s Shaggin’ on the Cooper series, held on select Saturdays on June 13, July 18, Aug. 15 and Sept. 12.
For details or to purchase tickets, call 843-795-4386 or visit or download the Charleston County Parks mobile app. This event is brought to you by Coca Cola, Southern Eagle Distributing, and your Charleston County Parks.
