The Housing Authority of the City Of Charleston will receive sealed bids on a General Contract for “Exterior Painting and Wood Repair at 213 - 219 St Philip Street ” until 2:15 p.m. local time, on June 16, 2015  at 550 Meeting Street, Room 232, Charleston, South Carolina.  Bids will be publicly opened.

Copies of the Bid documents may be obtained after 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the CHA Capital Fund Office, 545 Meeting Street, Charleston, SC 29403.  Contact Ed Donnelly at (843) 720-3983.    
     
A voluntary pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 1:00 p.m.  Any / all questions / requests for interpretation following the site visit, shall be submitted in writing to the CHA, and to be given consideration shall be received by 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2015.  Any / all such interpretations and any supplemental instructions will be in the form of a written Addenda to the Specifications that, if issued, will be released on Tuesday 9, 2015 by 4:30 a.m.

The Housing Authority encourages minority and women-owned businesses, Section 3 Businesses & Section 3 Residents to participate in its on-going purchasing of goods and services. This contract will obligate the contractor and subcontractors not to discriminate in employment practices and to comply with the Davis Bacon-Act and Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968.

CHA reserves the right to wave irregularities and to reject any / all bids.

ADVERTISEMENT
On or about May 19, 2015, plans and specifications for Site Operations Center at BMW Facility – Building Construction, Spartanburg County, South Carolina, will be available for distribution to qualified contractors by the South Carolina Ports Authority.
A pre-bid conference will be held Monday, June 1, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., at the BMW West Entrance Trailer Yard, located at 2000 Gateway Drive, Greer, SC, 29651 (A location map will be included with the advertisement on the website).
There will be a public opening of bids received at the South Carolina Inland Port Terminal, 100 International Commerce Boulevard, Greer, South Carolina, at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, June 18, 2015.  Instructions for submitting a Bid are included in the specifications.
The work includes the construction of an approximate 60,000 square foot, three story, steel structure office building with exterior finishes of curtain wall, aluminum composite panel and wood ship lap siding.
Interested parties may download, at no cost, the Plans and Specifications from the South Carolina State Ports Authority's Legal Notices website (www.scspa-notices.com).   Hardcopies of the Plans and Specifications will not be provided by the Authority.
Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond for twenty percent (20%) of the Base Bid.  One hundred percent (100%) labor and material bond and one hundred percent (100%) performance bond will be required.  The bidder shall have a current contractor's license for the State of South Carolina.
The South Carolina State Ports Authority reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, or to accept any Bid if considered best for its interest.
