An establishment dedicated to putting smiles on guests’ faces for the past 15 years, the Folly Beach Crab Shack will soon be helping put smiles on the faces of children around the world. From this Thursday, May 21 – Sunday, May 24, the Folly Beach Crab Shack will be hosting a Red Nose Day fundraiser.

Red Nose Day is an international campaign dedicated to raising money for children and young people living in poverty by simply having fun and making people laugh.  Funds raised will be donated to a variety of non profit organizations that transform children’s lives, including United Way, Save the Children National Urban League, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and more.

“We at the Folly Beach Crab Shack feel no child should lose the joys of his or her childhood. One of the most precious things is the innocence of a child's laughter and enjoyment of life,” said Elizabeth Calhoun, General Relations Manager at the Folly Beach Crab Shack. “We want to prolong this innocence and help bring smiles and laughter to children everywhere.”

The Folly Beach Crab Shack will be accepting donations for Red Nose Day May 21-24, and is also accepting donations online at The restaurant will have red noses for guests to take photos with, and for every photo posted with the hashtag #rednoseday, 50 cents will be donated to the cause. On Thursday, guests will also enjoy live music with The Island Duo from 7-10pm, as well as a screening of the NBC Live Red Nose Day Concert in the raw bar.
