Charleston Beer Garden Announces Brewery Lineup for the Sudsy Event on May 16
3/5/2015 3:26:41 PM

On Saturday, May 16, from 12pm - 8pm, the 4th Annual Charleston Beer Garden will take place at its new home, The Grove at Patriots Point in Mount Pleasant. Known as Charleston’s largest pop-up beer garden, this event invites craft beer-lovers to enjoy an epic lineup of craft brews plus homebrewers, Beer Olympics, and five live bands.

The festival will feature more than 30 craft beers on tap from breweries across the U.S., including: Abita, Blue Point Brewing Company, Brooklyn Brewery, Boulevard Brewing Co., Foothills Brewing, Goose Island Beer Company, Highland Beer Company, Holy City Brewing, Lagunitas Brewing Company, Oskar Blues Brewery, Samuel Adams, Sierra Nevada, Sweet Water Brewing Company, RJ Rockers Brewing Company, and Terrapin Beer Co.

Three of the five bands set to take the stage have been announced including The Broadcast, Lefty at the Washout, and The High Divers.

The Broadcast, led by female powerhouse Caitlin Krisko, is breaking new ground across the country with their infectious energy and authentic approach to rock & roll. Drawing much of their ambiance from 70s classic rock, this dynamic ensemble is known for their explosive live performances highlighted by Krisko’s soaring vocals. Described by audiences as a modern day “Grace Slick meets Led Zeppelin,” The Broadcast has quickly propelled themselves into the live music spotlight with their award-winning debut album Dodge the Arrow.

Lefty at the Washout, named after Folly Beach's legendary surf hangout, plays a sun-soaked blend of reggae and rock. Recorded in their home town of Columbia, SC, their first studio album, Forty To Five, has maintained a run of success through online sales and streaming. Their second studio album is expected to be released this spring.

The High Divers are a 3-part harmony driven rock n’ roll band from Charleston, SC, that formed in the summer of 2014. With their lush harmonies, tasteful guitar work, and steady rhythmic foundation, The High Divers seem to have done their homework from day one. The group has been working alongside local producer, engineer & drummer for Brave Baby, Wolfgang Zimmerman, to record their Debut album, River Lust, due out in July of 2015.
