Crash, who has a 7-foot-2 wingspan, starred at Irmo High School in Columbia before amazing the fans at Benedict College with his high flying dunks.  His tremendous strength and leaping ability helped the Tigers to consecutive conference championships and NCAA Division II Tournament berths in 2012 and 2013 before graduating.

“I’ve wanted to be a Globetrotter ever since I was seven years old and went to see them play at Madison Square Garden,” says Crash. “The Globetrotters have been around for almost 90 years, and most people don’t get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity like this, so I am very humbled to be here.”

His mom introduced Crash to the game of basketball at the age of four, and his parents coached him during his AAU ball.  Crash considers himself a very good cook and has been collecting sneakers since high school and has over 125 pairs.

Crash’s Globetrotter teammate and Greer, SC-native Kris “Hi-Lite” Bruton also attended Benedict College as part of the class of 1994.  Hi-Lite, who is now in his 14th season with the team, is scheduled to lead the Globetrotters back to South Carolina this March to play Charleston (March 10), Aiken (March 11), and Greenville, SC (March 27).  Full schedule at
