USCB and La Isla Magazine bring you the 1st annual Hispanic Heritage Festival on November 13th, at University of South Carolina Beaufort Gateway Campus presented by Mike Reichenbach Chevrolet

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage, while opening doors to the next generation of Latino American leaders, University of South Carolina Beaufort Gateway Campus and La Isla Magazine will host the 1st Annual Hispanic Heritage Festival. Presented by Mike Reichenbach Chevrolet, the event will host live Latin music, authentic Hispanic food, numerous vendors and entertainment from the around region, a quiz bowl for three scholarships to the school, and a formal celebration of La Isla Magazine’s 15th birthday.

 

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage, University of South Carolina Beaufort Gateway Campus and La Isla Magazine will host the 1st Annual Hispanic Heritage Festival Presented by Mike Reichenbach Chevrolet at USCB Gateway Campus, 1 University Boulevard, Bluffton, SC 29909 on the Campus Quad in front of the library, on Thursday, November 13th from 1:00PM to 6:00PM. 

 

This year’s event will feature the energy-driven Salsa band Son del Coquí along with Orgullo Panameño folkloric dancers. Additional music will be provided by DJ MixFer.

 

The event will include authentic Latin food vendors, homemade ice cream, and Latin craft vendors. Campus tours will occur throughout the day, while sports television streams through the student center and café just steps from the entertainment stage.  Live scholarship quiz bowl begins at 9:30AM and includes local high school students with tours and festivities to follow.  Everybody is invited to come and all activities are free to the public.
