Friendship Baptist Church(75 America Street)My name is Kelvin Smith and I am the Minister of Music at the Friendship Baptist Church where the Rev. Joshua Jaques, Jr. is the Pastor. With all of the tragedy that is taking place in our country, God has placed on my heart to start a community outreach gospel choir. This choir is designed to restore hope and unity within the community. The message of the gospel, whether in song or print, never changes. With that in mind, it is time to hear some good news, and gospel music brings good news and joy to the hearts of people. I would like to invite all churches within the Charleston area, as well as individuals within the community to come and be a part of this great gospel experience. There will be no auditions held and no prior vocal experience is necessary. Only a willingness to sing, a love for Jesus Christ, and commitment to the cause is requested. The name of the community choir will be called “Love For Christ.”   I would like for those individuals that are interested in becoming a part of this outreach community choir to call me at (347) 621-9647 with their name, address and telephone number.  It is my intent to speak to each individual. Very truly yours, Kelvin Smith
