Union Provisions Opening: After months and months of construction on King and Morris, Union Provisions opened its doors on July 16th. The owners and staff welcomed patrons into the newly renovated space for a first glimpse. This eatery dishes up American brasserie-style fare. The newest gastropub on the block has a menu that offers a mixture of a la carte options and elevated tapas.

Union Provisions Opening: Union Provisions can accommodate more than 125 guests but manages to maintain a sense of sleekness and sophistication despite its large layout. A short wall separates the dining area from the bar, allowing bar patrons and diners to comingle. This sharing of space echoes Union Provisions’ mission statement to build a union between food, wine and community. We will be on the lookout for the official grand opening celebrations which we are sure it will be a blast!

SWV Concert: Attending the concert was definitely a trip down memory lane. Lelee, Coko, and Taj of SWV (Sistas with Voices) came out and gave an amazing performance. If there were any doubts about their ability to sing, those were shattered once they left the stage. The auditorium had about 300 people and everyone was having a great time drinking cocktails, dancing, and singing to SWV’s hottest singles. It will be a night to remember.

SWV Concert: The concert on Saturday, July 19, started out with some local entertainment. Our favorite local band, The Touch Band, had the crowd on their feet for about an hour before SWV and 99.7’s own Gino was hosting the event in between the Band’s performances. The ambiance was very light and joyful; like being around old friends and family
