Sisters With Voices, the Grammy-nominated R&B trio better known as SWV, performed several of their greatest hits during the “SWV Invades Charleston” show on July 19.

The concert, promoted by King Hollywood, founder and owner of Hollywood Enterprise International, LLC, was held around 8 p.m. in Memminger Auditorium and combined a live show with a party to help celebrate SWV member LeLee’s birthday.

With phones held high, several fans recorded the performance and joined SWV in singing some of their favorite ‘90s songs such as “Weak,” “Right Here” and “Rain.”

Preceding SWV, radio personality Geno Jones of Star 99.7 introduced, the Touch Band, one of Charleston’s most popular party bands.

They warmed the crowd up by performing a mixture of old and new school music, including Frankie Beverly and Maze’s “Before I Let Go,” Lebrado’s “Fire” and John Legend’s “All of Me.”

Feeling the music, some of the crowd partied at their seats, while others improvised and created their own dance floor.

Following the show, SWV did a meet and greet with VIP attendees where they took photos, signed autographs and even gave hugs to their fans.
