The Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series is finishing up for the season! Join us for the summer's final Friday night concert on Aug. 1. Gates open at 7:30 p.m. and music by Mystic Vibrations begins at 8:30 p.m.

A regular at the James Island County Park concert series, Mystic Vibrations returns to provide a fantastic finale for the 2014 season of Reggae Nights. The strong roots of Mystic Vibrations began in Little London, Westmoreland, Jamaica and were brought to the U.S. in 1992 by Ric Williams. A busy schedule keeps the band constantly on the road touring the East Coast, from New York to Florida. The band is a four-piece rhythm section of talented musicians; Andrew Whitaker (drums), George 'Raheem" Johnson (bass), Marcus 'Marky' Ruby (keyboards and backing vocals), Dion 'Caution' Samuel (Percussion), and Ric Williams (guitar and lead vocals). Credited to the band's name are two self-released studio albums and one live recording. The band has established a large fan base that has steadily grown over the years. For more information on Mystic Vibrations, visit www.mystikmuzik.com.

For the perfect cool ending to a hot summer week, bring your chair or blanket, kick back, and relax to an awesome outdoor reggae concert in the beautiful setting of James Island County Park. All ages are invited. Hungry concert-goers can purchase Caribbean-style dishes and festival foods on site at the event. Crafters and other vendors will display local handmade crafts and souvenirs available for purchase. Socialized dogs on leashes are welcome.

Tickets must be purchased at the gate. Tickets are $8 for adults (13 and up); children 12 and under are free. Current Gold Pass holders are also admitted free. Gold Passes will not be sold on site, but may be purchased in advance at GoldPassMember.com for $65 ($80 for non-Charleston County residents). Gold Passes allow park admission to a variety of County Parks and events for the family for a full year.

No outside alcohol or coolers are permitted into the event. James Island County Park is located at 871 Riverland Drive. For more information, visit CharlestonCountyParks.com/Reggae or call (843) 795-4386. The Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series is brought to you by Southern Eagle Distributing, Bota Box Wines, and your Charleston County Parks.
