Morris Brown African Methodist Episcopal Church is celebrating its 148th anniversary. Two upcoming events are the History of Morris Brown AME Church will be narrated by Dr. Bernard Powers. He is a well--known author and faculty member at the College of Charleston. Musical performances will be presented by the Morris Brown Musical Arts Ministry. This event will be held at the church which is located at 13 Morris Street in downtown Charleston, Wednesday, July 16th at 7:00 PM. Our second program is Sons & Daughters of Morris Brown AME Church that will feature guest preacher Rev. Brent LaPrince Edwards, St. James AME Church, Asheville, North Carolina.
