Lauren Athey, Hope Development Coordinator for Headbands of Hope, will be visiting Camp Happy Days on Thursday, July 3rd to donate headbands to 210 children with cancer and their siblings. Lauren will also be helping children to get ready for the camp’s annual prom event. Headbands of Hope come in a variety of styles and colors and are comfortable to wear for children who suffer from hair-loss due to chemotherapy. Camp Happy Days partners with hospitals across South Carolina and national cancer organizations, such as Headbands of Hope, to develop comprehensive programs for children and families affected by pediatric cancer.

Why: Headbands of Hope aims to bring joy to children who are battling cancer. Many children, especially little girls, lose their confidence due to hair loss and other adversities of cancer. Headbands of Hope aims to elevate self-esteem in those children who lose a part of their confidence when they lose their hair.
