Miss Imani Alexis Muhammad, a sophomore at West Ashley High School, has been chosen as a State Finalist in the National American Miss South Carolina Pageant to be held June 15, 2014 in Greenville, South Carolina.
The National American Miss Pageants are dedicated to celebrating America’s greatness and encouraging its future leaders.
Each year, the pageant awards thousands in scholarships and prizes to recognize and assist in the development of young women nationwide. Emphasis is placed on the importance of gaining self-confidence, learning new skills, learning good attitudes about competition, and setting and achieving personal goals.
Imani’s hobbies include photography, writing and playing guitar with Girls Rock Charleston. The proud parents and grandparents of Imani include: Kim Williams-Odom, Marese Odom, Mr. & Mrs. Alex and Florence Williams, Mrs. Harriet G. Simpson and Ms. Annabelle Stroble Williams.
