The Orleans Road office of Carolina One Real Estate held a male fashion show last week in a fun effort to raise money for the March of Dimes Walk for Babies to be held on Saturday, April 26th at Cannon Park in downtown Charleston.
The five male participants included the office manager, two agents, an attorney and a Carolina One Mortgage Loan Originator all dressed like females. Complete with designer dresses, hats, hose, handbags and shoes the stylish group paraded on a makeshift runway to secure votes in the form of monetary contributions.
The first “April Fools” Pageant event attracted dozens of office agents, staff and management and raised $1,000 for the March of Dimes.
The three judges were also males and included two fellow office managers and an attorney. Millie Martin, chairperson of the event said, “We were delighted with how much money we raised and we may make this an annual event.” “Our “Pageant Ladies” were all great sports and I can’t thank them enough,” Martin added.
