Charleston Red Hat Ladies 1st Annual Tea & Fashion Show

Charleston’s Red Hat Ladies held their first Annual Tea and Fashion Show April 7 at the Arthur Christopher Community Center on Fishburne Street.

The Red Hatters group celebrated their first event with invited guests and plan to continue the celebration April 25 during Red Hat Day. President Andrea Robinson-Lawrence said the group also plans to perform charity and community service as it moves toward its Christmas activities.

Models for the fashion show included Quinnie Gilliard, Joyce Scott, Christine Brown, Jean Turner, Johnnie Mae Wright, Rita Ford, Hattie Waring, Valerie Barry, Hadis Samad and Harold Jordan.

The red hatters group was established in January with seven original members and has grown to include 20 members currently.
