Introduction to Climbing: Climbing 101

Learn the basics of rock climbing and belaying from our experienced staff. We offer courses and instruction for all ability levels.  This class is designed to introduce you to the world of climbing. Folly Beach Bird Walks: Lighthouse Inlet Heritage Preserve

This walk focuses on the northeast end of Folly Beach. We hope to see songbirds as well as a variety of shorebirds and seabirds such as American Oystercatchers and Piping Plovers. A chaperone is required for participants ages 15 and under. Pre-registration is required.

Intermediate Climbing: Climbing 201: Sport Climbing

Lead climbing, specifically sport climbing, is the next step after top roping. Climbers must rely on their skills to climb as the rope is no longer above. Skills covered include clipping, falling, belaying, and more. Participants must have a current CCPRC Belay Card and must be comfortable climbing 5.8-rated routes. Pre-registration is required.

Family Climbing: Family Belay Lesson

Run/walk with others like you to keep you motivated and moving toward the finish line culminating with the Cooper River Bridge Run April 5, 2014 (registration included).

The high friction routes of Crowders Mountain, NC offer a unique and aesthetic setting for learning outdoor movement skills and top rope anchoring techniques. Belay skills are a pre-requisite.
