On December 19th, students of Mitchell Elementary was treated to the school’s annual Holiday Market program. The Holiday Market serves as a reward for positive student behavior demonstrated during the school year.

Students are rewarded with currency known as “shark bucks” that they can spend during the market to purchase gifts for parents, siblings and family members.

The members of the Mu Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. support the program by providing gifts and assist with the wrapping and distribution of gifts as well. “The program has been very effective in encouraging the model behavior that we wish to see demonstrated in our students and we look forward to it every year”, stated Bro. Reginald Terry, a member of Mu Alpha who serves as an event coordinator and a behavioral specialist at the school.
