The 24th Annual Holiday Festival of Lights
Ongoing Nightly through Dec. 31
James Island County Park
Light up your holidays with over two million gleaming lights! Open nightly through Dec. 31, 2013, James Island County Park hosts one of the Lowcountry's most beloved holiday traditions - the Annual Holiday Festival of Lights. Journey down a three-mile driving tour jam-packed with holiday light displays, then stretch your legs and enjoy the attractions within Winter Wonderland and Santa's Village. Special events are included with festival admission fees.

Kayak Rolling and Rescues: Intro to Kayak Rescues
Learn important self and assisted rescue skills in this two-part class series. Have fun and feel empowered! A registered and paid chaperone is required for participant ages 15 and under. Pre-registration required.

Wildlife Tracking
Let a naturalist open your eyes to see into the lives of wild animals and their true relationships with their environment. Team Charleston Recreational Club
The Club Team is designed to introduce newcomers to the sport of climbing. This will be eight weeks of fun, excitement, and challenge for your child. They'll learn safety, how to belay and climb through fun and interesting games and activities. Pre-registration is required.

Portable Planetarium: Glorious Geminids
Get a sneak peek at the Geminid meteor shower, regarded as one of the best of the year. Leave with tips on viewing these fast and bright meteors in the nights that follow this program. Home School in the Forest: Birds in the Trees

Holiday Dance: Holiday Hoedown
People with special needs and their families and friends are invited to an unforgettable night! Dust off your dancing shoes and boogie the night away while enjoying your favorite music. Come dressed in your favorite western gear to welcome the holiday, country style! Enjoy light refreshments with Mrs. Claus and the Holiday Festival of Lights mascot, Wattson! Intermediate Climbing: Climbing 201: Sport Climbing
Lead climbing, specifically sport climbing, is the next step after top roping. Climbers must rely on their skills to climb as the rope is no longer above. Skills covered include clipping, falling, belaying, and more. Participants must have a current CCPRC Belay Card and must be comfortable climbing 5.8-rated routes. Pre-registration is required.

Nature Artisan Series: Taper Candle Dipping
