Charleston, SC – On October 27, 2013, Rev. Dr. Charles R. Watkins, Jr., church members, family and friends of Morris Brown AME Church gathered at Charleston Progressive Academy School to celebrate its Fall Harvest Tea and Baby Contest.

Those in attendance were entertained by instrumental solist, Briana Gamble who is a student at the school. Miss Loumera Y. Wright a former Hope’s Treasure Chest Gem rendered a solo. While sipping harvest tea, persons munched on delectable food and pastries prepared by “Sistah Act”. The fundraiser was a very successful venture. Mrs. Harriet W. The Baby Contest included six little angels. They were Trenton Anthony Holmes; Tylen Jameson Lennen; Desean Michael Lockhart-Watkins; Samya Aaliyah Muhammad who placed First Runner-Up; Samare Halle Promanee and Aletheia Wil’Aniece Weathers who placed Second Runner-Up.
