NORTH CHARLESTON, SC - Charleston Promise Neighborhood (CPN) is pleased to announce the receipt of a $7,500 grant from South Carolina Ports Authority (SCPA) to support children and families within the Charleston Promise Neighborhood communities. Funds will be used to increase support to CPN's work in education, healthcare, parenting, and community engagement.

"Our mission at the port extends beyond driving commerce and economic development for South Carolina and the Southeast," said SCPA President and CEO Jim Newsome.

"Charleston Promise Neighborhood is an innovative concept that is yielding great results in the community, and our partnerships with these organizations allow us to support those who are working to impact our community for the better while also helping to address the needs of communities surrounding our property and terminals."
