Mu Alpha 2013 Talent Hunt Winners Announced

  The Mu Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. recently held its annual Talent Hunt competition.  The program is designed to promote the display of musical and artistic talents of high school students throughout the world. Local chapters conduct competitions to then have winners compete on the district level.  The local winner, Jordan Elum, will now represent Mu Alpha at the Annual Meeting of the Sixth District, which is comprised of chapters from North and South Carolina.

  Elum will travel, all expenses paid by Mu Alpha, to compete at the April meeting in that will be held in Raleigh, North Carolina.  The Talent Hunt committee was chaired by Bro. Larry Whaley and the event was held at Burke High School.  The winners were:

First Place

Jordan Elum - 12th Grade - CC School of the Arts, Violinist

Second Place

Alexandra Hepburn 9th Grade - CC School of the Arts, Pianist

Third Place

Joel Chapman - 12th Grade - CC School of the Arts, Vocalist

Fourth Place

Stephen Freeman 12th Grade - Goose Creek High School, Percussionist (Xylophone)
