About 350 Turn Out for Nuclear Energy Discussion |

An estimated 350 people turned out at Allen University in Columbia on March 1 for a panel discussion on nuclear energy sponsored by the S.C. African American Chamber of Commerce.
The event, "Nuclear Matters: Redefining Our Energy Future," included a discussion by policy leaders such as Assistant U.S. House Democratic Leader James Clyburn; SCANA Corp. senior vice president and SCE&G chief nuclear officer Jeff Archie; Dot Harris, director of the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Economic Impact and Diversity; and Fairfield County School District Superintendent J.R. Green.
Co-sponsors included the National Black Caucus of State Legislators, Politic365, Allen University, and Clean and Safe Energy Coalition. The moderator was be Kristal High, editor-in-chief of Politic365.
