Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce and Rebecca Ryan the founder of Next Generation


 

The Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce will hold its Annual Meeting of the Membership on Thursday, January 10, 2013. Join the Chamber and award-winning futurist Rebecca Ryan as she speaks to the key trends that community and business leaders must address to ensure their future-ready.

 

WHO:               Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce and Rebecca Ryan the founder of Next Generation Consulting (NGC).

           

WHAT:              The theme is “Make Your Mark” and will mark the departure of the Chambers old brand and debut the completely redesigned logo and brand identityUnveiling the new Chamber brand will consist of a new logo, colors, tagline and the overall Chamber image moving forward in 2013. The marketing facelift, the first of many stages in the branding effort, will affect the look and feel of the Chambers online website presence, advertisements and marketing collateral.

 

This year’s keynote speaker Rebecca Ryan, Futurist and Founder of Next Generation Consulting will review the final handprint results for Charleston.  Ryan’s team has developed a community handprint to help our region retain young, future leaders. The handprint highlights how people feel about Charleston relative to factors like Earning, After Hours, Cost of Lifestyle, etc. based on a survey done over the summer.

 

Ryan’s presentation will provide insight into techniques companies and communities need to employ to attract and retain talented workers. Come and learn why many of today's young people are looking for more than just a job and why they want to live in a place that also matches their lifestyle. These are major changes that communities should understand so that the community can attract and retain young people to sustain its population and economy.

 

Cap off the evening at the Chairmen’s Reception, toasting a year in the books and celebrating the year to come. The Chamber outgoing Chairman Ron Jones will give the State of the Chamber and address the many Chamber accomplishments in 2012.
