La Isla Magazine, the Lowcountry’s largest and oldest bilingual publication serving the Hispanic community, is proud to announce Conexiones, a new way to connect local and regional business to the growing Hispanic consumer segment.  Conexiones is a business networking concept consisting of a variety of activities designed to bridge cultural gaps and create networking opportunities among local Hispanic and non-Hispanic businesses that are looking for fun and creative ways to connect with and grow their Latino customer base.

La Isla will host and facilitate monthly and quarterly events to include business mini-expos, industry focused marketing seminars and business after-hours mixers.  January 18th, 2013 will mark the inaugural event for Conexiones with a Charleston area business mini-expo to be held from 5PM to 8PM at the Hall at North Park located at 8780 Rivers Avenue, Suite 302 in North Charleston.  The expo will feature 20 to 30 businesses showcasing their products and services, a networking cocktail hour with complimentary authentic Colombian appetizers and cash bar by El Sabor Latino plus a Salsa dance demonstration by local dance company, Oui Dance 2.

Entry is free, there is no pre-registration required and attendees are encouraged to bring business cards.  There will be door prizes and sponsored giveaways and the event is open to the public.  Exhibitor space is limited but booths are still available. Interested parties should contact Kimberly Piston with La Isla Magazine by phone at 843-298-0172 or via email: [email protected]
