Charleston County Council Announces Vacancies on Boards and Commissions
Charleston County Council announces the following vacancies on boards and commissions:
Applications for the following boards and commissions are accepted through Monday, June 29, 2020.
• Awendaw-McClellanville Consolidated Fire District Advisory Board
o 3 vacancies for residents serviced by the Awendaw-McClellanville Consolidated Fire District
• Board of Assessment Appeals
o 4 vacancies
• Business License/User Fee Appeal
o 2 vacancies
• Charleston County Parks & Recreation
o 3 vacancies
• Construction Board of Adjustment and Appeals
o 1 vacancy for a Licensed Mechanical Contractor
o 1 vacancy for a Mechanical Engineer
o 1 vacancy for a Registered Architect
o 1 vacancy for a Civil Engineer
o 1 vacancy for a Registered Structural Engineer
• Firemen’s Insurance and Inspection Fund (1% Commission)

Charleston County Council encourages citizens of Charleston County who are willing to volunteer to serve on one of these important boards to submit an application for appointment. The application deadline is Monday, June 29, 2020. Applications will be considered by Charleston County Council’s Finance Committee at 5 p.m. on July 9, 2020. The committee will make recommendations to fill these vacancies to full Council, and County Council will vote on those recommendations at its County Council meeting on July 14, 2020 at 6:30 p.m.
