The Monday June 8 (to held from 6-7p.m.) North Charleston High School commencement celebration of the Class of 2020 will be a virtual conferring of diplomas. Saturday, June 13, the school also will host a drive-thru ceremony for the Class of 2020 9 a.m. at the school located 1087 E. Montague Ave, North Charleston.

While not intended to replace a traditional commencement, the celebrations recognize the accomplishments of the Class of 2020. North Charleston High School Cougars’ virtual commencement ceremony will be aired Monday, June 8, 2020 at 7 p.m. on the school’s website. The school later will host a drive-thru ceremony for the Class of 2020 Saturday, June 13, 2020 9 a.m. at the school.

North Charleston High School is proud of all its 129 graduates and sends a special Cougar shout-out to the top 3 graduates of the class – Sofia Montes (valedictorian), Glennjay Elayda (salutatorian) and Arthur Gibson (third honor). We applaud the tenacity and courage they’ve demonstrated in sustaining their focus on completing their high school graduation requirements during this national pandemic. You have learned how to learn.

As our Cougars prepare to graduate, we hope they look back on what they have accomplished, who they are thankful for and how they will take on the world.  North Charleston High Cougars’ final year will be recorded in history like no other graduating class. They will have not just a sentence, paragraph, or page, but an entire chapter in history dedicated to them.
