College Students Gain Legislative Experience Under Senator Marlon Kimpson

Each year Senator Marlon Kimpson hires young college students to serve as pages in his Senate office. This opportunity allows the students to gain valuable experience learning about our legislative process and how to work with the citizens of the district they are representing. They spend time on the Senate floor assisting with administrative tasks. At the same time they also have the opportunity to watch how the Senate works to solve problems and pass legislation that will benefit the citizens of our state. Senator Kimpson serves as a mentor to these students, and all of the students agree that it is a wonderful learning experience that will benefit them as they move forward in their careers.
