Books, DVDs, CDs available at bargain prices at Charleston Friends of the Library March Book Sale (new dates announced)

Love a bargain? Looking for a way to support your local library? Come to the Charleston Friends of the Library March Book Sale on Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14 at the Otranto Regional Library, 2261 Otranto Road, Charleston, SC 29406. Admission is free.

Browse through more than 10,000 gently used books, CDs, DVDs, and audio books at prices that can’t be beat. Books, DVDs, and CDs, will be available with prices starting at $1 for paperbacks and $4 for hardback books. Items include mysteries, romances, classics, children’s books, local histories, cookbooks and a variety of non-fiction topics.

A special event for Friends of the Library members will be held at the branch, Thursday evening, March 12, 5pm-7:30pm. Guests can join online at CharlestonLibraryFriends.org or become a member at the door.

Last year’s annual March Book Sale raised $9,000 and welcomed hundreds of people through the door, and this year the Friends of the Library hope to exceed that amount. All proceeds raised at the book sale go directly to the Charleston County Public Library System.

 

The Charleston Friends of the Library is a nonprofit volunteer organization that raises money through book sales to help fund library services, equipment, training, materials and public programming. The Friends collect and sort donated books for resale to raise money.
