Invites have already gone out for a Kickstarter Town Hall Meeting and birthday celebration for Germaine Jenkins and Steve Saltzman on Friday, January 31, 2020 from 7:00 – 8:30 pm. Town Hall topics include project updates, five-year visioning, insight from Board Chair, Kennae Miller, and special guests. The celebration and town hall are free for Kickstarter backers with a meal provided by Delicious Carolina Chef, Deljuan Murphy.
The event will be held at the North Charleston farm, 2008 Success Street,North Charleston, SC 29405. Seedlight Pictures Director, Bridget Besaw, and crew will be on hand to capture the festivities as part of a full-length documentary called Rooted: Food Justice in America, https://vimeo.com/344995546. A Zoom link will be made available to backers who cannot attend in person. RSVPs can be submitted to email@example.com by January 25, 2020.
