Tricounty Family Ministries Announces 30th Annual Community Christmas Celebration
Tricounty Family Ministries will bring some much needed holiday cheer to the homeless, working poor, struggling families and the elderly this season with their annual Christmas Party. This free event will be held on Saturday, December 21 at 10:00 am. The local non-profit estimates 2,000 members of the Tricounty area communities are expected to come enjoy a meal catered by Martin’s Barbeque at Cherokee Place United Methodist Church on the corner of Rivers Avenue and Cosgrove Avenue in North Charleston.
The event will feature a delicious catered lunch, music, as well as a visit from Santa. All children who attend will receive a gift, women in attendance will receive a purse filled with hygiene products, men will receive a regular hygiene kit, also coats, turkeys and other meats will be given away while supplies lasts.
Tricounty Family Ministries has provided more than 7.7 million meals to the hungry through its soup kitchen, meal home delivery and emergency pantry service since its inception in 1983.
