Matthews has served in the SC State House since her election in 2018. In that time, she co-sponsored bills to create safe schools, eliminate the pink tax, ensure fair pay, and fight sex trafficking.
With re-election, Matthews will continue to improve statewide education, give women a strong voice in the State House, and provide transparency into how South Carolina state government works.
“I am forever committed to increasing awareness and engagement about the issues our community faces. We deserve to live healthy, affordable, enjoyable lives and our community should be a place that helps us thrive,” says Matthews.
