Help the Lowcountry Food Bank Provide Holiday meals for Families Who Struggle with Hunger

The Lowcountry Food Bank (LCFB) is raising funds to create holiday meals by December 3, 2019 for their neighbors in coastal South Carolina during the national #GivingTuesday campaign.

Following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the LCFB will participate in #GivingTuesday, a nationwide, charitable giving day on December 3. This year, the LCFB will support #GivingTuesday with a $50,000 matching gift challenge to create not 300,000 meals, but 600,000 meals in just one day.

To support the LCFB’s #GivingTuesday 2019 efforts, donate here on the LCFB website. The LCFB is accepting donations for their #GivingTuesday matching challenge now through December 3. The community can beat the rush and pledge a gift today. The LCFB will bill any one-time donor automatically on December 3. Pledge one of the amounts listed below, or pledge more to help provide even more holiday meals to our neighbors who struggle with hunger this holiday season.

$672 helps provide a family of four with meals for a year
$336 helps provide a family of four with meals for six months
$168 helps provide a family of four with meals for three months
$56 helps provide a family of four with meals for one month

“Providing a holiday meal will make a significant difference for our neighbors who struggle with hunger,” said Pat Walker, LCFB President and CEO. “Almost half of the people we serve are children and seniors,” said Walker, “so we are always inspired by our community’s generosity.”
