Former Judge Tracie Hunter Released From Jail, Vows to Fight On

Former Hamilton County Juvenile Court Judge, Tracie Hunter, who earned her undergraduate degree from Miami University in 1988 and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 1992, is released after serving three months of a six-month sentence

By Stacy M. Brown, NNPA Newswire Correspondent

Tracie Hunter, the first African American juvenile court judge in Hamilton County history, is free again after serving nearly three months of a six-month jail sentence following her conviction on charges of unlawful interest in a public contract. She was found guilty of helping her brother keep his county job by mishandling a confidential document.

In July, Hunter was dragged off to prison after going limp in the courtroom while demonstrators protested her incarceration.

As news broadcasts showed a sheriff’s deputy dragging the former judge away, Hunter told NNPA Newswire that she mostly blacked out.

“As I previously shared with [The Black Press], I had very extensive injuries from an accident. I had a metal rod in my back, and it limits my mobility,” Hunter explained.

“Then, after the judge imposed the sentence, there was so much commotion, and I and my attorney both were hit in the back of our heads. At that point, everything became a blur. The next thing I knew, I was being dragged across the courtroom floor,” Hunter stated.

Once behind bars, things only got worse.

Hunter said her health began to decline, guards mistreated her regularly, and regular showers were denied.

Guards also searched her small cell often, and without cause, Hunter stated.

“I was treated horribly by the guards. They talked to me in cruel and disrespectful ways,” she noted. “They searched my cell all of the time, and often I’d be the only person they’d search. On one occasion, they went to the room next to me and told the people there to pretend they were searching that room, but they were searching my room.”

During one of the searches, Hunter alleges that prison guards entered her cell and “absolutely tore it apart.”

“One time, they said they were searching for drugs, and what’s odd is that they know I have never done drugs, and I don’t drink. But there were others in there because of drugs, and they didn’t search them for drugs,” Hunter stated.

The only thing guards ever confiscated from Hunter were writing pens, which she believed was within her rights to possess.

Worse, Hunter stated that she would routinely be on lockdown, once for as long as 25 consecutive hours. Rarely did she eat because she feared guards might have poisoned her food.

“They’d bring me my food, but I wasn’t going to eat it because they had treated me so viciously. They were handling my food, so I thought it might have been poisoned,” Hunter stated.

Jail nurses would provide Hunter apples and Gatorade to help keep her from starvation and dehydration, she said.

“Mistreatment was going on daily. Most of the time, I was freezing cold, and I wore like five shirts every day, around the clock,” Hunter noted.

Hunter, who earned her undergraduate degree from Miami University in 1988 and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 1992, won the election in 2010.

She stunned the Republican-heavy city by defeating GOP contender John Williams.

Williams and the GOP contested Hunter’s victory, and a heated court battle ensued.

After numerous appeals by the Hamilton County Board of Elections, officials refused to count more than 800 votes from majority Democrat and Black precincts.

Hunter then filed a federal lawsuit to have those votes counted.

While the court finally ordered the count, election officials still certified Williams as the victor.

Eventually, the election was overturned in Hunter’s favor.

The 18-month period proved pivotal because of then-Gov. John Kasich appointment of Williams to the bench.

The state Supreme Court changed the rules giving Williams administrative authority over the court.

As the senior judge and the only one elected, Hunter would have received the position of the administrative judge.

Still, Hunter worked behind the bench to protect the rights of children, including refusing to allow their names and faces to appear in news coverage.

Among other things, she instilled a system that focused on rehabilitation instead of incarceration.

Hunter mandated prosecutors turn over all critical evidence to defense lawyers.

She forced the juvenile court to change its entire reporting system and outlawed the routine shackling of juveniles in her courtroom.

Hunter also received credit for exposing juvenile case statistics, which were being inaccurately reported and falsified to the Ohio Supreme Court.

She hired African Americans in key positions, reduced default judgments, and spearheaded the change of state election laws, which paved the way for ex-felons to vote.

However, the Cincinnati Enquirer and WCPO Television joined Republican county officials in the prosecutors’ and commissioners’ offices in lawsuits challenging Hunter.

“They filed 30 lawsuits in less than nine months that I was on the bench,” Hunter said.

After serving just 18 months, her enemies found a way to silence her and end her career.

Prosecutors alleged that Hunter used her judicial credit card to appeal the lawsuits filed against her by Deters, the prosecutor.

She was sentenced in July and began serving six months. The court reduced the sentence after she agreed to minister to inmates in the jail.

Hunter walked out of jail on Saturday, Oct. 5 but her legal and personal battles are far from over. “I’m continuing to fight this wrongful conviction until it’s overturned,” Hunter stated.

“I committed no crime. All of this was a vindictive, vicious, and retaliatory attack against me because I had the audacity to run for one of the most powerful positions in Hamilton County. I had the audacity to win. I had the audacity to sue the board of elections to prove that I won. They were forced by a federal court to overturn the original elections results against my opponent, who was appointed by the governor.”

Hunter continued:

“The first African American to serve on the juvenile court of Hamilton County, and you become a political prisoner who was treated horribly. Our community in Cincinnati has always been divided by race, politics, religion, and social economics. I will never apologize for something I did not do. They want me to apologize for dividing a community that was already divided. And, I’m certainly not going to apologize to a sheriff’s deputy who dragged me on the floor like a piece of trash for the entire world to see. That was demoralizing, dehumanizing, and degrading. And, on top of that, it was an African American woman whom they put up to doing that.”

Wow. I just recently learned of this story. I didnt even know who the Honorable Judge Tracie Hunter (and, I still consider her honorable) was! However, after stumbling upon the court proceeding of the sentencing hearing 2019, I have since read every article, and watched every interview pertaining to Judge Hunrwr. I am praying for this sister. I applaud her for her contributions, and pray for her full vindication, and restoration of law license! It’s a travesty of justice. I hate to pull the race card. But, history has proven time and time again, had this been a white woman, these allegations would not have risen to this level. Not, by a longshot! I believe (based on what I know of the case), that she is innocent, and her fight will eventually lead to her being cleared of these charges!

She is a liar, she even accused the Judge of getting off for hitting someone in his car he wasn’t speeding he wasn’t drinking, the woman walked into the road tanked on coke and she died after getting hit a second time get educated.

          • KRichards on April 7, 2020 at 9:02 am

I watched the whole court process. The fact that she, former judge Tracie Hunter, would bring up an unavoidable accident that Judge Dinkellacker had incurred, in which someone was killed, showed how classless she is. The accident involved a 60 year old woman who was amped up on coke whom walked across the highway, not at a crosswalk, and stood in the middle of the street, dividing traffic from both directions. She was hit by two cars. Though the judge did nothing to cause the unavoidable accident, he was crying at the scene with sorrow.
So this woman who would dare bring that up in court and refer to him as a killer, shows just how ignorant she is and just not very bright. It did not work as she hoped that it would cast away the focus on what she did.
I’d never want someone like her to be acting as a judge on anyone’s behalf. She’s a disgrace to all judges and lawyers who uphold the law and act respectful in a courtroom. She looked like a clown by refusing to stand up and making the deputy have to drag her out.

          Such racially centered people.

To Sae: Racially centered “people”?…. As if your words aren’t racially centered enough! I am a young woman of color, who is NOT racially centered. I watched the whole trial online as well. I could not agree more with KRichards. How she tried to make a comparison to the inevitable tragedy that Judge Dinkelacker had experienced was absolutely horrible. She is in no way honorable in my eyes, or innocent – because you believe us “racially centered people” defend each other right, or undeniably wrong.

        • Dee Lorenzo on March 22, 2020 at 8:39 pm

This woman is a disgrace to the African American community and to the law community, she refused to walk out of that courtroom and her behavior is a disgrace to all the above. She is a criminal attempting to hide behind the law. Granted, she may be smart but she is so full of hate to white folks that it’s eating her up! Ministry? She needs a good minister of Jesus Christ to heal her hate.

      • James Johnson on April 25, 2020 at 11:11 pm

She is being prosecuted for perjury yet AGAIN for her falsified statements about her credit card abuse. Since she previously was found guilty by the county and later by the appeals court on two counts of perjury, she has proven herself to be a liar. This is not my opinion, but the opinion of the legal system of Hamilton County and the State of Ohio.

i dont know why but it seems that when a black person is on trial regardless of how strong the evidence other black people rally around and support them ..its wrong..If you did wrong you should be convicted…She knew what she was doing I do however think that the judge should not have read those letters he received from her supporters…i dont think that was appropriate …And if those guards mistreated her ,and they probably did shame on them ughhhhh

        • John Brown on April 9, 2020 at 8:30 am

Isn’t that exactly what white people did in this history of this country? Someone could kill black people and even the police and judge would know, and they would still be innocent. And it is still happening.

If they don’t like you, they will either find or fabricate a reason to put you in jail. Why was a complete vote count not allowed for Judge candidate Hunter? How do you even call that democracy? It is more like soviet style democracy. As Stalin said, it makes no difference who votes, it is those who count the votes that matters.
They could not keep her out to begin with, so they found another way to get her out. It is that simple. And yes racism is quite alive and well in America. Most Americans don’t see it because they think that behavior to be normal. I Have seen Trumper chumps illegally collect welfare and disability benefits, while still working under the table. Yet these very same people demonize blacks for being on welfare, lazy no goods…the reason why the taxes are high, as if illagaly collecting benefits was a whites only privilege. The fact is there are more able bodied whites collecting welfare and disability benefits than blacks.

          • Julie baker on May 17, 2020 at 6:21 pm

Racism is always used by people when they want to get away with a crime, she and the others defending her are the racist folks that pull this card when it’s convenient to them, Hunter is so obviously mentally ill, just look at her and her actions, omg..She’s comes from “black privilege” god will be the ultimate Judge!

      • Justice for judge hunter on January 14, 2020 at 10:17 am

This miscarriage of justice cost the extremely honourable judge hunter 3 months of her life in horrible conditions inside of a prison where she was persecuted mercilessly and why? Because she had the guts to stand up to the racist, white entitled republicans who would relentlessly attack her. She made incredible changes to the corrupt justice system such as her advocation for the identities of children to not be revealed and for juveniles to not be shackled in court. When she was humiliatingly dragged from the court room like an animal, it wasn’t because of her reluctance to go, it was because of her medical state and also from a blow that she suffered, she isn’t a coward, the sherif made her look weak. She is a hero who once again (and there has been an evident pattern of instances alike) was taken down for being brave, for trying to change America for the better one state at a time. She has emerged early from prison not because she bribed anyone or annoyed the sherif into letting her go, she did it by helping others. And now she is still battling her wrongful prosecution and won’t stop until she gets the vindication that she so obviously deserves. If you see her as anything less than a victim of fascism but also a role model, you are seriously delusional.

Had she walked out like an adult she wouldn’t had been dragged from the court room like an animal as you put it. Shame on her. Don’t break the law and you won’t be putting yourself in horrible conditions it’s that simple. I’m sure she drove them crazy while she in prison because her action in the courtroom shows she was gonna be nothing but a problem the whole time. They couldn’t wait to get rid of her.

No matter what was the motive on both ends . You should never break the law . 13 years ago I came home from a war . While I was gone fighting for our country my Mother had remarried and her new husband was for Egyptian Muslim faith . Basically he hated me just because of my orders as being over in Afghanistan fighting .ill make a short . My mom and her new husband left to the beach for a day . I gott up early noticing that they where gone .decide to go get breakfast but my mother’s new husband car was blocking mine . I decide to go upstairs look for he’s keys and move the car . While I was moving he’s car I just decided to take he’s car to get breakfast and be back in 20 tp 30 minutes , why not , no harm done , big deal , well it was a big deal . While I was gone they had come back to get something they forgotten , while I was gone the new Muslim husband called the police right away . So when I arrived back the police 👮‍♀️ arrested me , even though I had the keys ,Now you tell me if that was fair .Even when I try to explain to the Police Officer , he didn’t even give a shoot and arrested me , just so to get a color under him . I spend 28 days in jail . It thought me one lesson . No matter what you think is right or wrong others don’t few the same way you do or did , my point is , please be careful out there . There are plenty of evil people just looking for trouble or make a career out of nothing that became something. One day we will all be together living in harmony and that’s the only promise I cane make to all . Love ❤️ one another and everything else will fall into its natural order , without love we have nothing . Peace

No matter what . Yes it’s hardener for black people to get higher end positions . If it’s harder than you should be even better in what you do and be honest and good person . Share got caught that’s all she wrote . If there was a white judge 👩‍⚖️ that got in that situation than yes probably it would have never gotten that far .We all make mistakes but in her situation that’s a little different, your a flowing Judge , WOW . You suppose to protect the law not abuse it .

Hi everyone, I am a white, British Christian. My wife is an Afro Caribbean British citizen and qualified attorney who looks similar to Tracie Hunter. We watched a video about this case and followed up with more research. I feel a lot of empathy for Tracie, not only because she resembles my wife but because the facts in this case look to me a lot like the facts put before a lynching mob. It is blindingly obvious this whole thing was a vindictive set up to take revenge for the audacity of a black female lawyer and judge, pastor and democrat, to think she could take the place of an entitled white republican who sounds a lot like some kind of a freemason to me. The people who did this will pay ultimately, they will be found out. Why? because they have gotten away with it once and will try it again until they will get caught. Reminds me a lot of that Morgan Freeman movie about a jail, Redemption something or other.
May God Bless you sister, you are a beautiful, sincere, righteous and well meaning person and you deserve an official apology and recompense for all that you have been through. I wish I could meet you and shake your hand. Your courage is inspiring.

Its just that one doesn’t ever really know anything about anyone that writes on these pages. Some ppl even lie sometimes to suit their own agendas, they even play the race card which is pathetic to be honest. Plenty of ‘white” lawyers & Attorneys have gone to prison or jail for breaking the law, it’s all the more serious when they do. Early this year another( white) judge was also sentenced to
6 mnths in jail & she was very sorry & remorseful about what she’d done. The attempted manipulation & harassment of the presiding judge was despicable,Tracey Hunter showed no remorse & what she needed to be at that time was very sorry, her attitude & behaviour was
despicable – that entire performance put on by her “Supporters”was despicable & trying to manipulate readers of these pages is despicable also. 🙁

I concur with the assertions presented by Tim Clark! Not only are those factions distraught by the political and judicial accolades of Judge Hunter, racialistic views are enculturated; synergistically, within the corridors of the “Un-just” judicial system; historically, and prevalently, the construct of racially, biased motivations, hasn’t been eradicated! Furthermore, the power of sexism is paradigmatic! Whenever a Woman challenges Masculinity in domains that have been dominated by Men, masculine, cognitive dissonance prevails with distortion! The Suffrage Act didn’t completely ameliorate the masculine perception of the rights for Women to vote! Conversely, Women were to be “seen…not heard; kept submissive and pregnant, but Never to be ACCEPTED as a Dominion over Man. Moreover, Judge Hunter’s juris-BLACKNESS was no more accepted than President Obama. They couldn’t present any characteristic unethicalities or scandalous behavior to force the resignation of Obama’s two- term presidency! Whatever, illegalities that Judge Hunter may or may not have committed, had She been White, the expositions of her case would have been DIRECTED differently more favorably; hence, I doubt that she would have been fingerprinted; least of all, incarcerated!

The judges own brother testified aganist her and he is her brother and a black man. And the way she treated the judge was beneath her, since she too was a judge.

Throughout her trial she did not set a good example for our youth. She was convicted and she has her good intensions towards her family member to thank for it

It’s sad that her brother did not seek to shield her and just deal with his doings and not get her involved.

A white person did not create her problem, her own brother did. His needing help and her disrespect for the Judge showed her true color.

There is a lot of truth on both sides. The biggest problem i saw was that Judge Tracie was too prideful. She has lived a life to be proud of for sure. Her accomplishments were impressive. I thought the court asking for the mental assessment was their way of giving her another extension. Her pride would not allow that. I believe her lawyer was asking her to show some remorse and ask for leniency, but her pride would not allow that. She waited to the last minute, because she wanted things done her way. Who knows what she would have said, but I think she knew the judge would not allow her to speak. As the Bible says “pride goes before destruction”

I honestly hope she can continue to serve her community in a positive way

With the history of Hunter winning against a rigged voting system. In which the established white ruling class of judges holding courts for mainly alleged black juvenile crimes. Was a historic precident in which
Racism has its roots clearly in these proceedings.
When Hunter took office against all these odds against her. She made the court more humane and civilised .Protecting children’s identities and letting them sit in court without restraints etc.
It is also clear .That because this white controlled state.Does not it seem have any American black judges. It was clearly not appropriate that white judges judge her case.
There is a great concern the charges against her was linked to other past questionable activities to disrupt her tenure as the first black juvenile judge in a racist system.
This evident with the Honourable Hunter having to fight for and struggle to get 800 black votes ignored in her favour, to be recognised in the voting procedures for the election to this office she won on that basis.
Also the Judge that sent a letter to another Judge Winecker who imposed the 6 months in Jail upon her implying Hunter has alleged mental issues he claimed he saw of her while in office.
Also the questionable postcards sent to the Judges address so he claims. With no other witnesses than his so called word.Claiming he was maligned by Hunters supporters.
Then went on to claim he was like Pomtious Pilot a Judge of unquestionable integrity who would not be threatened by such intimidation. To do his so called duty.
This bullshit theater by the white judge. I AM WHITE BY THE WAY. Had no standing and was the Judge creating uneccersary prejudice against hunter in court. Even if the alleged postcards where sent by Hunters supporters. This is of no relevance to the facts of charges alone to be judged impartially without any reference to anything else that has no standing in a court .
This includes the other judges letter that claims that Hunter has mental problems and was unfit for office even when she was in office. This claim likely based upon her instructions to her court for juveniles names and pictures not to be taken and removal of their restraints in court, for the only purpose of real display of a fair hearing .
This 2 prejudicial actions by the Judge to propose in his theater on the judges letter and the alleged postcards that could be a false flag to prove to the court his judgement was to be conducted without
          Prejudice to Hunter.
While at the same time implanting into the minds of the court 2 prior prejudicial issues against hunter even if indirectly where the alleged postcards are concerned .Also the claim of her mental instability is a prejudice. Of no relevance to the case and the facts alone of the charges should only have been raised
At the opening of the so called hearing in this.
Also denying Hunters right to speak at this hearing .Without any prejudice or acceptable reason was
A clear inustice and a fair hearing denied in this matter. She should have been allowed to present her case in her own words in her right of defence against the alleged charges against her,
The claim by the judge that she refused to speak in another court with an alleged opportunity to do so.
Also that she was showing no so called remorse for her Alleged actions.
Is nothing but a prejudicial court and evident corruption in the proceedings of a so called hearing that denies the right of the defendant to present their case in their own words if she wishes to do so at this so called hearing.
This was a Kangeroo court hearing of the worse kind. This is why America has the most prisoners on the planet and 70% of them are Black Americans , put in jail mainly by white judges.

Clearly, this Judge missed use her bench. I saw her being dragged? No! I saw her, not willing to comply with her sentencing. She chose not to walk. Yes, there was an African American doing her job. That, had to, not because she wanted to. Drag Mrs Hunter from the court room. The officer did her job!
Wake up!! Talk about the blind leading the blind. WOW!!

        • Tony Sangster on April 17, 2020 at 2:13 am

And I saw her NOT BEING DRAGGED out of court also…..& it was done by a Black court officer also. Was the BLACK court officer being racist “dragging”her out of court?….NO, she was just doing her job…& that was all Tracie Hunter needed to do also, but she just couldn’t help using that privilege shamelessly. She’s a pathetic liar who shamelessly mishandled her office & privilege & is as guilty as sin. Her supporters, acting the way they did, did her no favours at all…..& they profess to be Christians. OMG!!!

I, too, recently learned of this….we, as black with a huge mix of American Indian ancestry will NEVER give up. One day soon, minorities will out number the OTHER ethnic groups, hoorays!!! Remember history: this nation initially belonged to : NATIVE AMERICAN INDIANS!!!!

      • Gervase on February 26, 2020 at 6:10 am

No it didn’t, it belonged to the British.

        • Tim Clarke on March 1, 2020 at 5:07 pm

What? I am British and your nation never belonged to us. Christopher Columbus and the Spanish Conquistadors stole, murdered, raped and settled their way to ownership of your lands from the indigenous natives. European settlers followed, including some British military and traders who tried to rob the furs and resources of your great land, ultimately unsuccessfully, because fortunately you got together and kicked the British out. But what have you done with your promised land? You became farmers and plantation owners who took African slaves. Those slaves were eventually emancipated and made free men who then fought for your nation in many subsequent and current war zones. Black or white, all American citizens, every last one of you, has inherited a common history of plunder and violence and you are all living on stolen property. You think you can trample on anyone anywhere on earth by force and inflict your desire and will on others. But in your midst you harbour this festering wound of racism and disrespect of human dignity. You need to take a long hard look at yourselves, you need to admit that your gun laws are inappropriate and not fit for purpose today, you need to admit that the world is in pain from human inflicted climate change, what the Australians rightly call climate emergency. You need to man up and link arms and stick together to rescue civilisation from itself. This case is a mere hint at the social sickness running beneath the surface in America. It was never truly great because it was never greatly true. Truth leads to greatness, nothing else.

          • Send Hunter Back on March 3, 2020 at 10:06 am

Maybe you should stick to fish and chips instead of American politics. Wound of racism? What are you even talking about? Nothing about this case has to do with race except for the peanut gallery’s unfounded claims of racism. If something has nothing to do with race, and people make it about race, who’s the racist?

Tim Clark. Thank you! I read pretty much all the other comments and your response summed it all up. What most people lack – black and white are the accounts of American History. Why isn’t the true history taught in American schools? Because the leading families who put themselves in power d/not want to speak of the evil deeds of rape, murder and the dehumanization of a people who still to date continue to be marginalized after 400 years of free labor (slavery). America was doomed & cursed from the time Christopher C and his crew set foot on its once sacred soil. God is will never Bless America

If she had courage she would have placed her hands behind her, been cuffed and walked out of that courtroom with dignity. How many courts heard her case? How many more would it have taken? Black, white, purple or green, she was caught and did her time, just like anyone else. Maybe now she can practice the Christian virtue of humility and live her life in peace? My thoughts are no, she will continue to stir the pot.

          • DALE ZALAORAS on May 22, 2020 at 9:02 am

Please allow me to explain people like Tim Clarke, a “Progressive” or (the word they do not like being called), a “liberal”, they are immoral in their thinking. Typically, their immorality is based on a socialist mind set, and they want to make everyone equal.

Everyone is not equal, except in God’s eyes. Mr. Clarke tries to make all Americans equally guilty of their ancestor’s (alleged) guilt of murder, theft, rape, slave ownership, plunder, violence, racism, and disrespect. He paints with a broad brush and makes outlandish claims, while ignoring the fact that most Americans are (and were not) not racist, murderers, violent, or disrespectful.

He would have us all disarmed of our guns, so his god (the state) can protect us, and control every aspect of our lives. The liberal mind-set wants to make a heaven-on-Earth, without God. To the liberal, a graduated tax system is fair, because the wealthy have stolen from the underprivileged.

There is an old Jewish history book that explains why liberalism is a moral disorder. It included 10 rules, or laws for the Hebrews to observe. One that most liberals ignore:

“Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbor’s.”

You know. When your black and trail blazing, you have to know that there is a chance that you will be targeted for everything that you do; and so you must … MUST do everything by the book. Don’t worry about when they catch you with your hand in the cookie jar that they would have treated a white person differently. Don’t put your hand in that Jar. You can’t afford to. Yes she had a hard time getting what was rightfully hers, and she still didn’t get there in the end. But she broke the rules in a big way; and if you’ve read everything pertaining to this case you’ll know that. Forget if she’s a sister or not. She messed up big style. She won’t be cleared; she’s as guilty as sin and the system has proved that. Face facts. She’s flawed. She was STUPID with a capital ‘S’ and that’s the end of her judicial career. Believe me.

      • Phillip Freneau on March 7, 2020 at 12:10 pm

Mr. Hines’ succinct analysis of the state of affairs is humbling and makes the truth plain to see.

I came to the bottom of this article thinking “It’s all true”. She did, on paper, break the letter of the law. Guilty. But It’s obvious she is being held to a different standard. And that different standard was applied long before she put her hand in the cookie jar. Look as evidence to the State’s bending (if not breaking) of the law without penalty in order to disenfranchise her lawful election as a judge only to bend the law back in order to strictly penalize her.

As Americans, I feel we are all obligated to ask why these different standards were applied. After all, the unequal application of standards to people based on their racial differences is literally the definition of racism. So, did this happen because she is black? Did it happen because she is viewed as too activist, driven, and defiant? Ahh… therein lies the rub: She’s all of the above.

I hope we can all ask ourselves what triggered the powers-that-be and drove this chain of events. Could it be that she was viewed as arrogant, dare I say uppity? It doesn’t take a genius to see racism. To see the unequal application of standards and what triggers it.

And if one can’t see the vindictive theatrics of the court trying to goad her into the indignity of submitting herself for a psychological exam prior to sentencing, or encouraging her to plead for mercy in front of the very institution that tried to rob her of her rightful election, then you are blind to the sinister that resides among us, and within us all. We might not be able to change the hatred, fear, shame, ignorance, cowardice, etc. that is out there in this world but we can certainly look within. We drive our brain people, not the other way around.

And so Mr Hines, despite your advice, I do worry about our inability as Americans regardless of our ethnicity to open our eyes, minds, and hearts. It comes at no cost yet the rewards would be immense.

        • Paul on April 6, 2020 at 3:36 am

Phillip Freneau, Thank you . Probably the most informed, even handed and sane comment I have read so far concerning this tragedy. I appreciate the humanity in your clarity and the clarity of your humanity. (or something like that !)

        • MELANIE JONES on April 28, 2020 at 9:27 am

My sentiments exactly Philip Freneau. I don’t know what your race is and it really doesn’t matter. What does matter in my estimation is that thus far, your comments exhibit that you have great insight and a DEEP understanding of the way things “work” and I find your statements to be very powerful and true. You have been blessed with a discerning spirit concerning this matter and other matters like this one. It is the way that things have been throughout the history of this country. You’re also right when you say that it doesn’t take a genius to see racism. And there are those who simply refuse to see racism for what it is. And there are others who revel in their racist mindsets. They LOVE hating on people whose skin color is not the same as theirs! Not all! But many! I’m not saying that the judge was right in what she did. But when one looks at the entire picture concerning the matter, it appears that there were those who felt that she had no right to hold that office from the beginning and they would have gone to any lengths to make sure that she was removed. (How dare think she that she could sit her caramel-colored hips in that seat behind that desk in the first place?!!! In a seat where only white people had been seated for so many years?)
Yes, a white woman would have been treated differently. Call it “playing the race card” if you like, but it is what it is to coin a phrase. And even if she had groveled and cried and begged for mercy, as it seems was expected of her, it wouldn’t have been enough to satisfy those people’s desire to see her removed. Listen, my intentions were not to go in this direction but people of color are many times held to a different standard. For example, if during his presidency, Barack Obama had done and said half the things the current president has done and said, he would have been removed from office. I’ve seen many times where both a white person and a person of color have committed the same crimes, yet the person of color was given a sentence that was much harsher. And I have also seen where a white person has committed a crime that was worse than the crime that a black person committed and the white person was given a lesser sentence and was even treated much better by the judge during the proceedings than the black person! I’ve heard a judge incredulously comment on the unfairness of previous judgments by other judges! It is so very sad to see that these things are still occurring in this “great country.” So the judge was convicted and sentenced and she made time. She paid the price. Yet on this thread are comments from people who are still steeped in racism and who have unforgiving hearts and who refuse to see things for what they really are and who are mean and hateful and who obviously do not have love for their fellow man, etc., etc., etc. We are living in a world of cruel, heartless, judgmental people and I’m so saddened by it. May God have mercy on us! Heaven help us all. A change is coming however! And the world as we know it will be a thing of the past. It will be a world where RIGHTEOUSNESS prevails and there will be ONE ruler…ONE King! And before Him EVERY knee WILL now and every, every, EVERY tongue SHALL confess that He is Lord. Wait for it for that day is coming and my brothers and sisters I do not believe that it will be long! I pray that we’ll get our spiritual horses in order! I pray that we’ll all be ready. Love and peace to all of you.

        • John Lillbourne on May 17, 2020 at 6:34 am

Well said Philp Freneau. You evidently saw the vindictive theater applied at the court by the judge at this so called hearing. To intimidate her and raise claims against her interest which had nothing to do with the facts alone being presented at this to me Kangeroo court. This particularly so when she was not allowed to speak in her own defence on a spurious claim she would not speak to
to beg mercy or accept her lack of contrition to the courts ruling against her in a previous court on this matter.
The injustice and denial of a fair hearing of this so called court hearing is clear as daylight though the dumb down out their could not see what other legal minds see in these proceedings.
The so called court that sentenced her was run by a judge had a reason to dislike Hunter in a previous court as her Judge.
Also knowing the sensitivity of the racial issues in her case .No attempt was made to find a American Black judge to deal with the charges against her.
This court was using comments and arguments to sentence her particularly on the issue of her refusal to accept or show remorse to the court on charges she disputed in previous hearings.
The system designed to silence protest against rulings where people are forced to accept
With pleas of mercy and remorse for their actions.Which means anything less than complete
Compliance and obedience to this rule designed to display the power of the court.
These designed punitive measures to force the recognition of court actions upon those they convict is unjust malice and abuse of power.
This specifically when evidently any court at anytime in theory ,can have there rulings challenged and overthrown at later reviews or appeals.
The exercise of the power of the court claiming falsely their rulings are final and unchallengeable
are only in existence in the most dictatorial and facist states on this earth.

This principle that all courts are not perfect and any courts can have their rulings overthrown.
Is in direct hypocrisy and contradiction of the demand of courts that those found guilty must
submit to recognition of the judgements being correct and unchallengeable .
That their their only statement allowed after judgement can only be to seek a reduction in their sentence on the basis of showing remorse and pleas for mercy on the judges decision of guilt.
No one found guilty has the human right for the court record for those found guilty to protest at the decision or declare there trial unfair.
If John Brown had been in our age of courts .He would never have been allowed to speak
to history on the record of his protest and view of the courts bias judgement .
His famous words before they tried him as guilty as charged, before they hung him.
Said against the court’s ruling. when he was allowed to speak in the court that found him guilty.
“If he had raised his sword to serve the interests of the rich, and not the slaves of the poor and downtrodden. He would have been praised and set free.”
In the courts of today’s states no such words would have been allowed to be spoken on the record of his trial.
These present conditions to deny protest and challenge the so called now undisputed alleged rules and powers of the courts in their verdict. Force the guilty and the innocent. The most basic human right to free speech on their treatment by courts set against them.
Because everything is not just as simply black or white as it seems.
If the principle that all court rulings can be overthrown at later dates if challenged for any reason.
The principle that those found guilty should be allowed to Express freely their own views on the judges decision against them.Free from any fear of punitive measures to extend their sentences. Such as assumedv failure to show remorse specificall when found guilty by any court..
As it is just human nature to escape from any pain.It is a falsehood anyone can seriously
claim anyone can see real remorse and repentance of sins by those found guilty.
In reality this can only be between the persons owm conscious mind and their God.
This theater of the court forcing those they find guilty to do the remorse for their sins dance.
Has nothing to do with the real facts of any case at any level.
This abuse of power by the courts should be removed from real civilised societies concerned
that sentences are not negotiated by the acceptance of guilt, in any proceedings of
The court proceedings in Hunters ccase where evidently bias, and the judges theater with a letter sent to him by one of his collaborators in and case built against her.Along with alleged postcards abusing him by her alleged supporters.Where clearly a planned design to put Hunter into a bad light in court .A disgraceful and unwarranted action by the judge to digress from the facts of the case in its own standing alone.
Can we be 100% certain the judge did not fabricate the postcards himself for this planned theater in court. He evidently has no other witness than himself in this matter.
This be it true or false.Had nothing to do with the facts of the trial and should have not been presented as any relevance to the court proceedings. Which the judge in misteaseance of his powers solicited upon the court hearing as falsely being relevant to the proceedings of his court against Hunter in this concerned..
What is also evident specifically on the issue of the remorse of the presumed guiityb by the courts and what they can or not say in the courts of to-day.
Hunters case goes beyond her own case in these concerns raised and is matter of how we all see
Courts operate in dealing with alleged criminal cases.
Ws do not live in a perfect world and to give courts absolute power in their so called rulings that can not be challenged or protested against. No matter how trivial or serious the nature of the case may be.Is allowing the creep of facist NAZI like peoples courts.
In which corruption and abuse of power begins and ends where the state exercise it’s most powerful forces upon the people .particularly so at the face of political and growing unrest against a corrupt corporate state Capitalist system to date.
We will never have democracy while the state can gag everyone who comes through its courts for any reason.
This is why the Hunter case needs to be examined further in these concerns of corruption and abuse of power by state courts of anykind.

She was making a difference, a good difference, showing the white males she could run the ship, being in awe and jealous of this pretty and smart black woman, caused the white men much discontent. They had to stop her, so finally they blew up the said incident of her supplying her brother with information, to help the brother keep his job. A mole hill became a mountain and they took the honoarable judge through court hell. She served 3 months and now is out of jail, I pray she continues her great work, she only lost that battle, but she still has the opportunity to win the war. I will pray for her constantly.

Had it been a White women, she would have accepted her sentence with dignity.

    • Stan Smith on April 30, 2020 at 6:19 pm

“… I am praying for this sister.” This wouldn’t be about race, would it?

I’ve practiced law for twenty years and don’t know of many instances in which more efforts were taken to protect the rights o a defendant and give that defendant every possible opportunity to address the charges against her. She was charged with numerous offenses. She was only convicted of one. This alone should clearly indicate that the jurors took their duties seriously and gave thoughtful consideration to all evidence before determining that in the case of this particular charge… Ms. Hunter was determined to be guilty.

That’s that. And then you throw in the failed appellate efforts. At this point, her attorneys should have advised her to be more contrite, at least with regard to those actions she took which were undisputed but that she claims were not crimes. A judge must avoid the appearance of such criminal behavior. Clearly, she did not do that. Her arrogance and lack of contrition and that of her attorney did not serve her well.

She should have been sentenced to atleast 5 years in prison.

    • Terry on May 12, 2020 at 10:07 pm

I was basically watch the sentencing on YouTube and follow through a little bit about the history of the case and this could see from watching the vibe what was going on and the community and in the courtroom and I was thinking back to the OJ case about how these celebrities are people in the communities that have huge impact in her famous and how both sides white and black appear to react to each other along racial lines I myself and mine 66 year old white Republican and I don’t feel price real real person I look at things as are you a good person or not a good person that’s how I judge people by the content of their character and I think older people feel that way but the nurse also and other factors that are involved to anyway I remember the OJ case and I would have voted not guilty on that. That I didn’t think OJ was guilty but for the fact of what it would have done for the greater good and in the problems that arose in a community and the healing that could have came forward if people just look at this in those terms and this is exactly what I felt about Tracie Hunter this judge was not a wise person I could have been a tremendous amount of healing and not had the strife her lawyer was trying to do everything but try to beat this in that judges head to that fact and he did a great job Tracy on his lawyer this judge was just so you know I got to I got to do the right thing isn’t that what is the right thing right thing is for the greater the better and you know for everyone and if little people have ride it if people have died in property Burns is that the right thing to do and you have to look at that you don’t kill everybody for the sake of one person I heard everyone and that is if I would have been in his position I would have let her go and I might have explained to her lawyer at some setting you know where I couldn’t what am I thinking was on that but that would have been my thinking and I think that he was not a wise man thank you for the opportunity to express my feelings I hope Tracy that you get out and they leave you alone and for the healing of the black and the white community God bless

“Three Indiana judges involved in a Downtown Indianapolis fight in May.”

“Adams’ whole blood alcohol level was approximately 0.157 upon admission to the hospital, and Jacobs’ was approximately 0.13, according to the opinion. Bell’s blood alcohol level was not tested, “but she was intoxicated enough that she lacks any memory of the incident,” per the opinion.”

“Adams, who was the only judge criminally charged in the case, pleaded guilty to one count of misdemeanor battery in September. He received a sentence of 365 days in jail, a credit for two days served. The remaining 363 days of the sentence were suspended, meaning Adams served no additional jail time.”

“All three judges received suspensions, but will eventually return to their offices.”

Please confine ignorance to it’s respective bubble. These two incidents reveal undeniable bias.

That does not prove anything. To prove unbiased, you will have to show that the average person or average black person serves a jail sentence for fighting when they have no previous record.
Only a blind racist would call the racism card here without actually comparing similar incidents.

A fight when you’re drunk is a very poor choice and makes you look like a fool. However, it is NOT in the same category of offenses as using your power & position as a judge to help family members get or keep their jobs. I’m afraid you’re comparing apples & oranges.

Most caucasian folk have never had to worry about being discriminated against , so they don’t have a need to even begin to understand the plight of injustice . And because this country was taken over by barbaric English illiterate drunks , it’s no surprise that injustice is inherent. Just as they took this land from the original Americans , their blood thirsty and injustice manor is in their DNA. They can’t help themselves. The constitution say that this is one nation under God. I’d like to know what god they are talking about? I pray for all the people who have authority over us because this is the will of THE HEAVENLY FATHER. I thank God for wisdom. Another “victim” carrying the victim cross. Do people like you ever get tired of blaming everyone for your problems? At what point do you take responsibility for you actions? There is no systemic racism like you claim in other words. If there was, Obama wouldn’t have been elected to the white house, twice! There would be no Oprah, no JayZ and no Clarence Thomas in the Supreme Court.
Are there racist people out there? Yes! And they would always exist. But the existence of racist people doesn’t equate to a racist country, were you have all the same right and opportunities as everyone else. People that only think or racism, only see racism.

    • Daniel on January 22, 2020 at 12:14 pm

Republicans are racist and regressive? Do you not know that it was the democrats that started the KKK? It was the democrats that fought to KEEP racist laws in the south. The only reason democrats accuse republicans of racism is because they’re trying to erase their history of racism.
And regressive policies is one of the things democrats are pushing for. You don’t think that fighting to take constitutional rights from you is regressive? Then you must be a proud democrat. You don’t think that decriminalizing petty theft (San Francisco) is regressive? You don’t think that allowing millions of foreigners to come here at will is regressive? Democrats only way to get sheep like you to vote for them is to offer free stuff (paid by the gov) or appeal to some moral ground, regardless of how damaging that moral ground would be to the economy. Like AOC said, “some people are more concerned on being factually correct, than being morally correct.” Yeah, that is what democrats are pushing for, morally correct policies. Forget the economy, right?

This is might as well be Fox News….., she was treated 10,000x times better than any of us would have been treated. But the stunts of “going limb”, Bring the phone to record the judge with a cellphone after she denied her right to speak? Idk if anyone has been to court but that would get us thrown out, if she just barely smiled they would have giving her a slap on the wrist but she brought the drama with her and sadly for her but she needs the lord watching her, The verdict wasn’t even a debate, the judge wasn’t even in his powers to overturn a case that was finished. We would get thrown in, not high price lawyers, she may have earned that extra ‘priveledge’ as she did a lot of great things. But she was a roll model, the childish tunts and sleazy tactics her legal team used made me wonder if she had lost it. She was too smart and knew the law to deny the right to speak and then say you got embarrassed, when someone charges the court its in the best interest to get her out first so safety, as they do with the defense/ prosecution sides, she went limb and made it dangerous for herself and others. As a parent, hard to explain that behavior to what she thought was role model.

  12. Andrew on March 14, 2020 at 2:52 pm

It seems like blacks always scream discrimination when they break the law. Too many of them pull the race card. However, when they are in power, they are very likely to cover up the crimes of blacks and come down unfairly on white people. Perhaps if they learnt to act civilised and practised what they constantly screaming against, perhaps people would have more respect for them.

  13. Lori Bella on March 17, 2020 at 5:15 pm

I believe she behaved badly and had to pay for it. Why do people want to diminish what other black people have gone through over the years by associating those struggles with what Hunter’s situation was? Black people owe no explanation for what she did.

Which was not the worst crime in the world. However, her refusal to acknowledge her mistakes points to a more serious flaw in her character. She does seem to have some issues that she needs help with. Maybe she can’t be a judge. But she can be a lot of things if she does the mental and emotional work needed to get to a better psychological state.

I remember in 1995 when the verdict of the O J Simpson trial was broadcast live . I was working on a roof in a cul-de-sac in Greenwich Connecticut .The house next-door was being renovated and there was five or six African-American Mason’s working on the Stonewall. When the verdict was announced they started cheering and high-fiving, me and the one other guy on the roof (Both white) we’re shocked at the verdict ,And also shocked that these guys really thought he was innocent.Later that night while listening to sports talk radio the host Steve Summers said something that will stick in my mind forever and I quote (it just shows you how divided the races still are )and when I heard him say that all of a sudden everything made sense sometimes you have to look at the other persons side of things .Peace and love to all of you and I believe Miss Hunter is a woman of God and she made a mistake.

Tim Clark.

I am a conservative social worker. I believe in truth and compassion. With that said, I have some understanding of human social and psychological flaws through study and experience. I resent anyone or any group who generalize. The profound desire for money, power and prestige have since ancient times, and will continue to plague every group in society because it is an innate human flaw. Every group in society has pointed accusatory fingers at other groups for the very offense that they too commit. Most people consider themselves as righteous in doing so but it is indeed hypocrisy at its worst. My hope is that the good people of this great nation will continue to mature in our human interactions with one another, stop trying to be superior to others, and get back to living as a spiritual people. We must live in today, make a way for tomorrow and forgive the past as you would ask to be forgiven. Remember that’s TRULY what is important in the end. Peace be with you!

I’ve been trying to figure out WHAT confidential documents Judge Hunter allegedly passed to her brother who was facing a disciplinary hearing Why be so evasive IF SHE is SO GUILTY? Because that’s was she was convicted of ? Given he brother had a county position, it seems like to me the documents should have fallen under a freedom of information act meaning he should have a right to get the documents if they pertained to his job?? She was attempting to protect Juvinilles ?? If it was white juveniles it would be a different story! Cincinnati is a town where they pride themselves in Criminalizing BLACKS FOR SURE ! Cincinnati is also Willie Lynch town where blacks get promoted for going after other blacks or helping the system take them down. Joe Deeters is a racist phony who FAILED to properly represent a case where an INNOCENT black man was SHOT point-blank by a UC COP who allegedly pulled then man over for NOT having a FRONT license plate? The Black victim, did not cuss, he did not raise his voice, NOTHING ~ Joe Deeters put on a FULL Dog and Pony show pretending like he was trying to get the cop convicted when we know FULL well HE WAS NOT really trying to get a white police officer convinced because it would affect his white vote! Joe Deeters ONLY charged the cop with murder knowing he would not get convicted? When there was NO chance of the UC police officer being convicted of murder, Joe Deeters, did not bring any other lesser charges such as manslaughter, racial profiling, abuse of authority, Joe Deeters, only charged the officer with Murder? Why Not add as option manslaughter … the College hired a completely independent investigative team which was predominately white and they UNANIMOUSLY determined the UC Police officer had KILLED and Innocent man and the UC officers account of events did not fit what was on the camera, but it is extremely difficult to charge a COP with murder since he was on DUTY and he “pretended” his life was in danger. Joe Deeters KNEW the law and that’s why he ONLY chose to charge the officer with Murder instead of adding any lesser charges which means once he was cleared of murder his record would not include anything damaging against him so he could go on lving his life, had it been a black officer pulling over an innoccent white man and shot him for not having a front license plate he would have had to defend a minimum of 25 charges , just like they did Tracey Hunter… I mean I sit up and watch this and I’m like WHAT EXACTLY did she do?? She gave her brother CONFIDENTIAL documents of WHAT ???
I was convicted of DISORDERLY CONDUCT in a CINCINNATI CLOSED COURTROOM FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF VETERAN AFFAIRS! LET me tell you how this went down! An AFGE Union Official tried to sell food stamps out of the Union Office and I protested her nomination for an elected office since MANAGEMENT of Veteran Affairs was helping the AFGE Local RUN an Illegal election they ALL conspired to say I threatened the alleged victim who was black? NOTED I was targeted for representing African Americans on EEO cases at the VA. So more than 8 people testified in contray to the alleged victim and I was still found Guilty of Disorderly conduct and they plastered all over the internet. First of ALL the Magistrate Judge Violated my due process rights by not informing me I had a right to have my case heard before a Federal Judge, since I am an HONORABLY DISCHARGED SERVICE CONNECTED Disabled Veteran I also had a right to Veteran Court , I also had a right to a pre-trial diversion since I was a first time offender -WHO ELSE in the state of OHIO hs been charged with DISORDERLY Conduct for an AFGE Union Meeting ? MeanwhileTHE SAME DAY I WAS IN COURT several African American Males who were Literally fighting on the job had there charges DISMISSED by the African American Prosecutor I beleive he was probably frat brothers with the VA Attorney whom I was opposing on the Agency EEOC cases where numerous African American Females were being discriminated against and they have an African American Attorney helping to take the females down like an Antebelium Slave Plantation ??? The way I see if , the courts set Tracie Hunter up and I had Clyde Bennet that no good scoundral was loose talking to me, took my money, didn’t represent the facts, but he has since been DISBARRED. Clyde Bennet is part of a Black Good Ole Boy system where there crooked African Americans help take down other Africna Amercians to promote a Wille Lnch Agenda . Oh might I add I am bi-racial and my white family members accompanied me to the VA to represent EEOC cases becasue the VA was attempting to claim I was stalking people which was another bold face lie, so If I come to the job accompanied by an 80 something Senior Citizen they could not say I was stalking someone ? Who did they get to lie on me African American Females . Meanwhile I was also declared a Whistle Blower for filing an inpatient advocate complaint becasue a predominatley white staff FAILED to come to aide of White Nursing Home Patient who was bleeding excessively from his mouthbecasue the hospital “forgot” to take him off of blood thinners? He was a Veteran an Former VA Employee ~ Pharmacist which I think someone had plotted to kill him or retaliate against him ? Becasue it doesn’t make since ? Meanwhile all the people really committing CRIMES have NO RECORD and the best Lie they could come up with was to trump up charges to get me convicted of DISORDERLY CONDUCT in an effort to attack my credibility for the REAL CRIMES. The Cincinnati Court system is a FULL Fledg Racketerring Scheme.

  18. Justicia Rizzo on April 1, 2020 at 2:43 am

I posted a comment earlier about Joe Deeters and the point I was trying to make is

Joe Deeters went above and beyond the call of duty to prosecute an African American Judge for giving her brother “confidential documents” which I’m confused about the charges given since her brother worked for the county, if the documents pertained to his case, he should have been allowed to get the documents through Freedom of Information OR the Sunshine Act ?? I’ve been trying to figure out what the confidential documents were that caused her to be fired, disbarred put in jail, harrassed in jail and humiliated ???

Joe Detters put on a Dog and Pony show pretending as though he was attempiting to get a white police officer convicted of “Murder” for point blank shooting an unarmed black man for not having a front license plate, when American at large knows you usually can’t convict a police officer of MURDER in the line to duty because the officer can allege they felt their life was in danger and being a cop you are automatically in a dangerous job. Joe Deeters did NOT bring any lesser charges to convict the officer of mansalughter, racial profiling, misuse of deadly force. BECAUSE the Prosecuter Joe Deeters was NOT really trying to get a White officer convicted of ANY charges ! For Pulling over and KILLING an innocent black man for not having a front licence plate, the officer may have been fired from UC but since he was NOT actually criminalized and DID NOT SPEND (1) DAY in jail he can go somewhere else and be an officer. However had the officer been black and the tables turned the prosecuter would have attempted to bring multiple charges NOTED Joe Deeters initially attempted to convict Tracie Hunter of multiple felonies ??? an African American Judge vs a racist Police Officer in a corrupt court proceeding ? ! Yeah

meanwhile a JUDGE is both Demonzied and CRIMINALIZED for what? Not allowing cameras in a Juvenile Court to protect the names and faces of “JUVINILLES” ? AND Tracie Hunter CANT be a judge because she gave away “confidential” documents, I guess she would not have had to spend (1) day in jail, had she pulled over an innocent man and shot him point blank for NOT HAVING a Front License plate??

This is the first time Im hearing about this case. I do a lot of small claims cases and only once witnessed a corrupt judge. It was one of the few cases I lost that the judge involved had no problem breaking the law in front of so many. Discovered this after finding out when the defendant was joking around with the judge that they were good friends, but that wasn’t what tipped me off the Judge was a bad apple. It was the case that came after mine where the judge said there was a mistake and that the court only had 3 of his 7 cases the plaintiff filed. He didnt even look at the actual court papers he dis have, only the sticky on the folders. Said Bill collector, unclean hands, dismissing these cases. He then dismissed the plaintiff, who left the court. Few minutes after the guy left, I saw him reach down and bring up what looked like 4 folders. Read them to the court, which was then I realized these were the cases he told the plaintiff he did not have. Then said plaintiff is a no show, and ruled in the defence favor on those who were present. It’s damned scary to see how a judge can do this in front of strangers in his court, and not care.

  25. E Peace on April 21, 2020 at 1:54 pm

This judge didn’t even have sense enough to take an insanity route that would have at least let her walk away with some dignity. Good riddance. I don’t care what color a person is nor their sex. Don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time. Plain and simple. Clearly she wrote those postcards to the presiding judge of the court. Shameful. Was that her criminal brother in the background yelling disrespectful of his sisters years of learnt craft and her church followers? Disgraceful, shameful and good riddance.

I wish the whole trial would be available to watch so that everyone could make their own opinion based on facts. I really don’t know what to think but it is entirely possible that the charges were the result of a conspiracy against her by her political opponents and the evidence was planted. This is a very corrupted world…

  29. Magnus33 on May 5, 2020 at 12:54 pm

Some are not bothering to look at facts and in this case there is a mountain of them in this much so that her own lawyer had to recuse himself from the case when he realized he couldn’t adequately defend someone he knew was guilty .
Its so bad she was caught multiple times perjuring herself in court.

This should have been a simple case of someone abusing their power and getting caught and convicted but it became about race..

As a smart man Thomas Sowell once said.

The word “racism” is like ketchup. It can be put on practically anything — and demanding evidence makes you a “racist.”

People it doesn’t make a difference of what race she was. She tried to cover up her brother being fired for striking a kid in a detention center he was working at. Along with a few other charges besides her acting childish and disrespecting the court of law. By confronting the judge because he ran over a drug addict that walked in front of his vehicle and others that were driving the speed limit.
Besides all that. You have to ask yourself this. Say you are the child’s parent and the color is not the issue but it was the judges brother than struck him. If he was a black judge would you be supporting him or your son? Hmmmm……

    She was found guilty.
    She served her time.
    Get on with life!
