Holiday Festival of Lights recruiting staff for 2019 season

The Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission is seeking candidates for open positions at this year’s Holiday Festival of Lights at James Island County Park.

Interested participants are encouraged to view open positions at CharlestonCountyParks.com/Jobs, which will list the most up-to-date status of all CCPRC’s employment opportunities. Positions are available for ages 16 and up, and all candidates must be willing to work evenings. Available opportunities include positions at the festival gift shops, concessions stands, front gate and other locations within the Holiday Festival of Lights.

The Holiday Festival of Lights is open every evening from Nov. 15 – Dec. 31, 2019. The festival opens at 5:30 p.m. nightly and closes at 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Millions of families have toured the Holiday Festival of Lights, which is hosted by the Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission at James Island County Park. Families are invited to warm their hearts as they cruise along the three-mile display of glimmering lights through the park. After the driving tour, guests can park the car and explore family attractions, shopping, dining and more.

The holiday hotspot has earned many awards and mentions throughout the country, including being named a 2018 Top 20 Event by the Southeast Tourism Society, and also has been recognized by USA Today, Coastal Living Magazine, and Southern Living Magazine, among others.
