The North Carolina A&T Aggies continue to hold the top spot in HBCU football as the newest rankings of the BOXTOROW Coaches and Media Polls were released on Monday. The Aggies received all of the first place votes in both polls.
In the coaches poll, all of the teams in the poll won their respective games with the exception of Arkansas-Pine Bluff as the Golden Lions fell to No. 6 Southern, who moved up one spot from last week. The Golden Lions dropped four spots to No. 9 this week. Alabama A&M reenters the poll at No. 10.
In the media poll, the top five of N.C. A&T, Bethune-Cookman, Alcorn State, South Carolina State and Florida A&M remained the same. Southern made the most significant jump, up three spots to No. 7 this week.
The BOXTOROW HBCU FCS coaches poll and media poll are administered by FROM THE PRESS BOX TO PRESS ROW. The coaches poll, in its 11th year is voted on by the HBCU Football Championship Subdivision coaches and the media poll, in its 13th year, is voted on by media members around the country who cover HBCU football.
