The Moncks Corner Pan-Hellenic Council (MCNPHC) will be hosting its first Moncks Corner Greek Weekend on September 13-15, 2019.
On Friday, September 13th, a Greek Social will take place starting at 7 pm at Stars and Strikes Family Entertainment Center (4570 Ladson Road, Summerville, SC 29485) with a Greek Get Acquainted Hour from 8-9 pm . On Saturday, September 14th, the Greeklympics will take place from 10 am to 2 pm at the Moncks Corner Regional Recreation Complex (418 E. Main Street, Moncks Corner, SC 29461). There will be a Saturday Night Social starting at 8 pm at Blue Note Bistro (7550 Dorchester Road, North Charleston, SC 29418). Ending the weekend will be worship service on Sunday, September 15th at 10 am at Heart to Heart International Ministries (104 Behrman Street, Moncks Corner, SC 29461).
Saturday’s Greeklympics is an event in which the community can watch members of the Moncks Corner Pan-Hellenic Council fraternities and sororities team up to play and compete in fun childhood games, such as the sack race, tug of war, cornhole, and so much more. There will be food trucks, kids’ activities, a jump castle sponsored by ZYS World House of Fun, and community vendors. Attendees are invited to bring their lawn chairs to watch the games and learn more about Greek-letter organizations under the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) umbrella and what they do to serve their community. All spectators are asked to bring canned goods to donate to the MCNPHC’s chosen charity, the Lowcountry Food Bank. One canned good is required for entry, but more will be accepted. The council is still accepting community, business and Greek paraphernalia vendors for this event.
The National Pan-Hellenic Council’s (NPHC) mission is “Unanimity of thought and action as far as possible in the conduct of Greek letter collegiate fraternities, and to consider problems of mutual interest to its member organizations.” The NPHC consists of nine organizations, five fraternities and four sororities.
The Moncks Corner Pan-Hellenic Council (MCNPHC) is a non-profit organization that consists of eight organizations to include four fraternities and four sororities, all united to serve and enhance their communities.
