Tickets on sale for WWE NXT LIVE at the Charleston Area Convention Center

The superstars of WWE’s critically acclaimed brand NXT will return to North Charleston Thursday, July 25 for a live event ahead of NXT TakeOver: Toronto, their biggest show of the summer. Top NXT talent have been advertised to appear. 

NXT North American Champion Velveteen Dream is currently one of the hottest attractions in professional wrestling today and will be in action July 25. Only 23 years old, he has taken the NXT brand by storm with his magnetic persona, show-stealing matches, and riveting feuds with various opponents. The Dream has experienced a banner 2019, earning a championship opportunity in January after winning the WWE Worlds Collide tournament. In February, he challenged and defeated NXT North American Champion Johnny Gargano to begin his first championship reign. At April’s NXT TakeOver: New York, Dream successfully defended the North American Championship against fellow rising star Matt Riddle and retained again at NXT TakeOver: XXV June 1 in a fierce battle with Tyler Breeze.

NXT Tag Team Champions The Street Profits, slated to make an appearance at the North Charleston show as well, have seen their fortunes turn recently for the better coming off the biggest win of their career. Partners Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins captured the Tag Team Championships in a four way ladder match at TakeOver: XXV in a spectacular triumph over Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch, The Forgotten Sons, and The Undisputed Era. The Street Profits are the first Black team to win the NXT Tag Team Championships. In more good news for The Street Profits, Ford and Dawkins made their live television debuts on WWE’s flagship program Monday Night Raw July 1 and vowed to “bring the swag” to the long-running series. 

NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler, “The King of Bros” Matt Riddle, “The Genius of the Sky” Io Shirai, The Undisputed Era and its leader, NXT Champion Adam Cole, are also scheduled to appear at the July 25 event. NXT TakeOver: Toronto takes place Saturday, August 10 and can be seen live on the WWE Network.

Doors open at 6:30 PM, with the event officially kicking off at 7:30 PM. Tickets range from $20-$200 and can be purchased on Ticketmaster. Parking at the Charleston Area Convention Center is $10 and cash only. Go to northcharlestoncoliseumpac.com/events for more information.
