Camp Happy Days’ Hosts Week Long Summer Camp for Kids Kickin’ Cancer

As summer begins, children all over South Carolina diagnosed with cancer are getting ready for this year’s annual Camp Happy Days Camp! For one entire week children and their siblings will be participating in life changing experiences that will give them the hope and courage to fight back against cancer.

This year’s theme for camp is “Journey Beyond Imagination”, and campers will participate in a number of exciting activities: horseback riding, kayaking, a little girls’ Lunch with Princesses, sporting clay, climbing wall and ropes courses, painting and drawing, a Prom dance and the famous talent show on the last night. Most importantly, along with all the fun campers will have, they will meet and interact with kids just like them, realizing they are not alone in their fight.

Camp Happy Days is devoted to changing the lives of children with cancer. “It gives me hope,” says camper Tron. Although Camp Happy Days is all about having fun, campers are able to see others who have been where they are and have had the courage to keep fighting. Amazing things happen every day at Camp Happy Days.

Want to help? Camp Happy Days relies on generous donations from people wanting to share in making a difference in the lives of kids with cancer. Donations help provide year-round funding for summer camp as well as the organization’s fourteen other year-round, cost-free programs.
